Kamala Harris earlier said she’s with Meghan Markle

In 2019, Meghan Markle spoke about the difficult time she faced due to salacious media attention during her first pregnancy.

The mother-of-two had reportedly said, “Any woman, especially when they're pregnant, you're really vulnerable. Also thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I'm okay.”

Harris re-shared that clip and wrote, “This is incredibly important. We must remember that it’s a sign of strength to show emotion. Meghan, we are with you.”

Kamala Harris hailed Meghan Markle for ‘powerful statement’

“George Floyd’s life mattered and Breonna Taylor’s life mattered and Philando Castile’s life mattered and Tamir Rice’s life mattered, and so did so many other people whose names we know and whose names we do not know,” she shared at the time, as reported by Vogue.

The 43-year-old continued, “I wasn’t sure what I could say to you. I wanted to say the right thing and I was really nervous that it would get picked apart,” before asserting, “And I realised the only wrong thing to say is to say nothing.”

Harris re-tweeted that clip as well with a caption that read, “‘The only wrong thing to say is to say nothing'. Thank you, Meghan, for this powerful statement.”

Veteran royal commentator thinks Meghan Markle will join US politics

This came as veteran royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams revealed that he believes the former senior royal may soon enter US politics.

Writing for Express, Fitzwilliams noted that Meghan “will undoubtedly endorse Kamala Harris” before launching herself soon.

Meanwhile, Harris’ name has continued to float as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden exited the 2024 presidential race.

In a statement, the POTUS declared, “I revere this office, but I love my country more. It’s been the honor of my life to serve as your president. But in the defence of democracy, which is at stake, I think it is more important than any title.”

“I’ve decided the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation. That’s the best way to unite our nation. I know there is a time and a place for long years of experience in public life.  But there is also a time and place for new voices, fresh voices — yes, younger voices.  And that time and place is now,” he added.
