Later, the Duke and Duchess also shared their news with Prince William and then with Princess Kate, who congratulated them, as per Daily Mail.

However, not everyone in the Royal Family welcomed the news shared during the couple’s celebrations. “Many wondered why Meghan chose to reveal her news on the bride's big day,” Tom Bower noted in his book, ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry And The War Between The Windsors’.

Eugenie and her mother, Sarah Ferguson, were reportedly upset by the timing and were said to be "furious."

Days later, on October 15, 2018, Kensington Palace officially announced Harry and Meghan’s pregnancy to the public. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
