'Harry Potter' star Rupert Grint and longtime partner Georgia Groome welcome 'secret' second child

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Rupert Grint, the beloved actor who made his mark as Ron Weasley in 'Harry Potter', welcomed his second baby with his longtime partner, actress Georgia Groome, 33.

The 36-year-old star revealed that their beautiful baby girl is named Goldie, People reported.

Rupert Grint took to Instagram on April 27 to share the happy news with his fans.

The post featured an adorable photo of their newborn wearing a white onesie adorned with her name embroidered on it, paired with a tiny gray cardigan.

"'Secret Child Slightly Revealed,'" Grint playfully captioned the post, teasing the excitement surrounding the announcement, adding, "Introducing Goldie G Grint. ⭐️ A 10/10 baby (so far)."

The proud father also took a moment to express gratitude, specifically thanking the doctor who helped bring Goldie into the world. “Shout out to @alex.digesu for always delivering 🫡,” she added.

Rupert Grint reflects on fatherhood

This new addition to the family marks a significant moment for Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome, who have been together since 2011.

They are already parents to their older daughter, Wednesday, who was born in May 2020.

At the time, a representative for the couple confirmed the birth of their first child, requesting privacy during this special period.

“Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are delighted to confirm the birth of their baby girl,” the rep shared with People.

Although Grint is known for being relatively private about his personal life, he has been open and candid about his love for being a father.

In a 2022 interview with Glamour, he shared how his role as a dad has changed him in profound ways.

"I’m absolutely loving being a father," he confessed. "I feel like I’ve changed as a person for sure. It kind of happened overnight, lifestyle-wise. I stopped smoking straight away. I’ve started sleeping so much better — I used to be a horrific insomniac, now I’m sleeping."

"It’s a weird place to be, especially when Wednesday first came," he reportedly shared. "I remember I brought her to the set this season and she thought she was at Sesame Street, which was very far away from Sesame Street."

Grint also expressed the deep love he has for his daughter, noting that she’s quickly become the center of his world.
