LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When Harry Styles first strutted into our lives with One Direction, it wasn’t just his voice that stole the show—it was those luscious, curly locks too. His signature hair made millions of teens swoon and it became as iconic as the band’s catchy tunes.

But fast forward a decade and fans are wondering whether Harry's famous mane got a little professional assistance.

Harry Styles: Then and now

It all started in 2010 when Harry Styles auditioned solo for 'The X Factor' as a fresh-faced 16-year-old. His full head of bouncy curls made an impression just as much as his raw talent did.

However, eagle-eyed fans noticed a receding hairline as the years passed, particularly a pronounced widow’s peak that seemed to emerge as he hit his late twenties.

Fast forward to today: Harry, now 30, has already made a mark in the world of fashion and haute couture, rubbing elbows with the likes of Anna Wintour and Salma Hayek.

But there’s another thing catching people’s attention—his hairline looks noticeably fuller, sparking whispers that the pop star might have undergone a hair transplant.

Dr Zayn Khalid, a cosmetic doctor based in London’s Mayfair, weighed in on the speculation. “He’s grown his hair out, but it looks pretty different to how it used to. In previous pictures, he had quite significant frontotemporal recession. But now it isn’t as bad as it used to be,” Dr Khalid explained to the Daily Mail.

He added, “You can see that his hairline was significantly worse. So if he hasn’t had a transplant, he has had some form of hair-loss medication because his hairline is significantly better.”

What the fans are saying about Harry Styles' hairline

Fans began putting the pieces together after Harry Styles debuted a buzz cut last November. The move seemed suspicious to some as shaving the head is often done in preparation for a transplant.

“When he buzzed his hair, I knew a transplant was coming. Whoever did this is a genius because it’s made a difference, but not so much that we would all notice,” a fan commented last week, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

Another chimed in, “I am 99 per cent sure he’s had a transplant – it’s obvious. You cannot tell me he didn’t shave his head for aesthetic purposes. I am supporting the transplant 100 per cent.”

Someone else gushed, “That new transplant is doing wonders for Harry – I’m obsessed.”

That said, not everyone is convinced that Harry’s hairline got a helping hand. Some fans argued that the changes were simply due to hairstyling choices.

"He's just got it normal, in the longhaired pic..his hair was gelled/styled back," one fan insisted in the comments section.

"It just looks like he’s brushed his hair forwards. And he’s going to go bald soon enough - he takes after the men on his mother’s side of the family. It happens and it’s nothing to be ashamed of," read a comment.

"He just has his hair comb forward instead of backward when it was long. It’s just the hair style no transplant. If he grows his hair again and pull back I guess it will be easy to see if it’s the case that is. And if so, that’s really his business," yet another offered.

A growing trend

If the transplant rumors are true, Harry Styles wouldn't be the first celeb from across the pond to embrace the procedure. British soccer legend Wayne Rooney openly admitted to his hair transplant in 2011. “Just to confirm I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25, why not? I’m delighted with the result," he posted on X at the time.

Actor James Nesbitt of Cold Feet fame has also been candid about his multiple procedures. In a 2017 interview with Radio Times, the actor shared how his hair transplants benefitted his career.
