There has been no information on character details, but this marks Kelce’s first major acting role. On the other hand, Swift’s most high-profile acting role to date came in the 2019 musical fantasy film 'Cats'.

Kelce confirmed the news in an Instagram Story featuring a video of himself and Nash-Betts. "Guys, guess who I am working with in ‘Grotesquerie’?” Nash-Betts asks in the video before panning over to Kelce. "Stepping into new territory with Niecy,” Kelce adds.

The NFL star previously acted in multiple sketches during his hosting stint on 'Saturday Night Live' in March 2023. He also appeared in one episode of the Showtime series 'Moonbase 8', starring Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker and John C Reilly.

With his reality dating series 'Catching Kelce', which aired for one season in 2016, Kelce gained experience in the unscripted television industry. He will be the host of the game show 'Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?' on Prime Video. In addition to breaking into the acting world, Kelce produced his first movie in 2024, 'My Dear Friend Zoe', an independent release that had its SXSW premiere.

Murphy and FX have been together since 'Nip/Tuck' in 2003. Along with the upcoming 'American Sports Story', he is still producing the FX anthology shows 'American Horror Story', 'American Crime Story', and 'Feud'.

In December, it was announced that Murphy would collaborate with Kim Kardashian on a legal drama for Hulu.
