'He had Botox': Insiders clear the air regarding Ben Affleck's changed appearance during Tom Brady roast

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck was one of the many celebrities who roasted the retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady during Sunday night's live Netflix special titled ‘The Greatest Roast of All Time’. 

While the 51-year-old actor’s lackadaisical roast of his good friend didn’t land well with the fans, the ‘Gone Girl’ actor found himself the target of a separate online speculation as well.

As Affleck made a surprise appearance during the Sunday, May 5, 2024, special, several fans questioned his facial features and wondered whether he had undergone a facelift. 

But sources close to the actor are now quashing the claims and said he just went for a few shots of Botox and shaved his face.

Ben Affleck reportedly did not undergo a facelift

The sources close to the ‘AIR’ rejected the theory that the Boston native went under the knife to maintain a youthful appearance.

Referring to his taut appearance, an insider recently shared with Daily Mail, “Ben looks great,” before adding, “He had Botox – everyone gets it before events.”

They, however, shared, “He has not had filler and definitely no surgery.”

Moreover, the insiders dished that Affleck’s wife Jennifer Lopez, 54, is quite happy with his countenance and doesn’t want him to alter it. 

“Jennifer would not be keen on him changing his handsome face, nor would he want to,” said the source. 

“Ben is confident in his skin,” they continued, before adding, “He just wanted it tighter.”

Another source added, “Ben has been blasted over and over and over for the last few decades about everything, this is nothing new. And now that people think he has had a facelift is just a joke.”

Ben Affleck made comments about fans during the Netflix special

While the aim of the Netflix special was mostly to mock the seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady about his personal life, Ben Affleck spent most of his seven-minute stage time to call out the online trolls.

Commenting on the former New England Patriots star, the Hollywood actor said, “Fans f*****g have your back,” before adding, “Fans buy tickets. Win or f*****g lose they support you... you sitting there hiding behind your keyboard spewing all this toxic s**t behind your keyboard... that doesn't make you a fan that makes you a b***h.”

He continued, "I can’t think of a more f****d up, dysfunctional, horrible working system designed to perpetually make people feel awful," Fox News reported.

He then directed his focus to Brady's former coach, Bill Belichick, joking that he “probably wouldn't work again after tonight.”

Fans accuse Ben Affleck of undergoing a facelift

As the Netflix Sunday special aired, netizens quickly started speculating about Ben Affleck's looks.

One of the social media users said, "What happened to his face looks like a facelift gone terribly wrong or he is casting for live action Toy Story movie."

Someone else said, "His eye lift changed his looks. Doesn’t even look like the same person."

"His face looks different," declared another fan. 

Someone else added, "He doesn't even look the same."
