This comes after Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt, 41, lost their Pacific Palisades home following a massive Los Angeles fire that broke out last week.
‘The Hills’ alum couple not only lost their $2.5 million property but they also did not have any insurance. However, the couple’s fans soon rushed to support them as they started streaming Montag’s 2010 song.
Montag recently took to her Instagram to thank her fans for the immense love they have shown her.
Heidi Montag thanks her fans for propelling her song to #1 on iTunes
On Thursday, January 16, Heidi Montag took to her Instagram to thank her fans, and the celebrities, who helped propel her song into stardom.
Breaking down into tears, Montag said, “Thank you, thank you! Thank you for lifting us up in such a dark time. Being a light and a beacon of hope with all your support and love.”
Ever since Pratt pushed the album, several celebrities, including Perez Hilton, Emily Ratajkowski, Jessie James Decker, Flavor Flav, and Jenny McCarthy, have played songs from the album.
All of the support boosted her ‘I’ll Do It’ to the Number 1 position on the iTunes chart in the United States. According to Daily Mail, the streaming giant typically pays artists around $0.70 per song download, thus the song’s top position would help her earn a substantial amount of money.
The outlet further reported that she can make as much as $1 million at this pace.
Montag wrote in her Instagram caption, “Thank you so much to everyone who has bought and streamed my music!”
The money would come at the right time as Montag, Pratt, and their two children - Gunner, six, and 13-month-old Ryker - have been displaced from their home after the devastating fire.
Previously when her song ‘Superficial’ also reached the top position, a grateful Montag thanked her fans.
Heidi wrote on Instagram, “Thank you for the overwhelming love and support of my music, and really rallying behind us in this devastating time, and making it such a blessing.”
