LAPD shoots down Henry Winkler’s wild 'arsonist' theory
Taking to his social media on January 9, 'Happy Days' star Henry Winkler wrote, “THERE IS an ARSONIST here in LA . May you be beaten you unrecognizable !!! The pain you have caused !!!”
Since then, the tweet has been viewed more than 6 million times and retweeted almost 8 thousand times. Meanwhile, the post also garnered around 7.7K comments with several people agreeing with him on the theory.
Nevertheless, the Los Angeles Fire Department has not yet confirmed the involvement of any arsonist. Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley said Thursday, January 9, "The cause of the fire remains unknown, and it continues to be under active investigation," reported Fox News.
However, there were several celebrities, including Winkler, who were not pleased with the explanation as they came up with their own theories about the wildfires.
The outlet reported that the "Dancing with the Stars" pro Peta Murgatroyd re-shared a tweet by political and cultural media personality Xaviaer DuRousseau that read, "LOS ANGELES / SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA THERE ARE AT LEAST FIVE MEN GOING AROUND IN SKI MASKS STARTING FIRES. KEEP AN EYE OUT."

Singer Chris Brown too wrote on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, "Someone starting these fires. S--- don't add up."
TV personality Elizabeth Chambers questioned the theory of nature causing the fire as she posted a screenshot of reports questioning the same, writing on her Instagram Stories, “Feels like this is a lot more than nature.”
Celebrity podcaster and neuroscientist Andrew Huberman shared another video on X that allegedly showed a group of people standing near what looked like freshly started fires in Santa Monica.
People are lighting fires in otherwise non-burning urban areas of LA. Saw this happen first hand at 302 Pico in Santa Monica. Called it in & fire dept & police responded. Stay safe and call in any activity ASAP. We don’t need more flames out here. pic.twitter.com/AZ4GLr6N3q

Huberman wrote, "People are lighting fires in otherwise non-burning areas of LA," before adding, "We don’t need more flames out here. Some of those guys lit that fire … the tree has caught fire, and the palms are catching fire."
Nevertheless, despite the widespread speculations, the Los Angeles Police Department has denied the claim. "We have not received any reports of arson," they told Fox News.

One individual remarked, "Arsonist or terror attack - there's no way fire's just combust from nothing when winds are in a different direction and/or they're popping up that far apart."
