LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Beyonce is gearing up to release her new country album, 'Act II: Cowboy Carter', but it's already facing criticism. Recently, Erykah Badu also raised concerns about the album's cover art, prompting Beyonce's representatives to defend it.

Previously, rapper Azealia Banks joined the chorus of critics, accusing Beyonce of engaging in 'white woman cosplay' with her country music venture.

On the other hand, actor John Schneider also took a jab at Beyonce's foray into country music. During an interview, Schneider likened Beyonce's track 'Texas Hold 'Em' from the album to the sound of a dog urinating.

According to People Magazine, when Badu criticized Beyonce's album cover for 'Cowboy Carter', the 'Halo' singer's publicist, Yvette Schure, stepped in to defend her. Schure shared an Instagram reel featuring Beyonce's iconic braided hairstyles over the years, praising her consistency and talent.

In the caption, Schure emphasized Beyonce's greatness and wrote, "She slays. She slays. Now. Then. Always."

As per People Magazine, Badu had previously questioned the album cover, which features Beyonce wearing a sash with 'Act II Beyincé' written on it, against a white backdrop with blue and red hems.

Another user wrote, "Could only listen to either song a few words in was so bad. Doesn't sound like country especially with that voice."

A user commented, "She needs to stay out of country music !!!"

Another user commented, "Country a hard NO for her. Like her otherwise… more than her husband."

A user stated, "I had not heard the song so I listened to it, well as much as I could listen to. It was boring and awful. It almost seemed like she was making fun of country music. She needs to stick to what she’s good at."
