LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reports state Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, updated his profile on the California Sex Offender's registry.

His profile now has a new photo, as per the California Megan's Law website, which lists all convicted sex offenders along with their home addresses, current photos, and a outline of their offenses, per RadarOnline.

The 45-year-old, who appears fairly serious in the picture, as one might anticipate given the seriousness of his alleged actions, is seen wearing a denim button-up over a white T-shirt in the updated image.

Kenneth Petty was covincted as a 16-year-old

Petty was found guilty of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl named Jennifer Hough in 1994. He did, however, manage to work out a plea deal that dropped the attempted rape allegation, and he was eventually sentenced to four years in prison.

He was 16 at the time of the purported incident. Later on, Petty had to register as a sex offender.

The profile listed Minaj's $20 million 11,820 square foot, eight bedroom, 11 bathroom mansion, which she purchased in December 2022, as Petty's home.

In a August 2021 lawsuit, Hough claimed Petty and Minaj were pressuring her to retract the intial accusation. She said in court that she was once paid $500,000 to admit she had lied about the incident.

After turning down the offer, Hough apparently received an "onslaught of harassing calls and unsolicited visits" from unaffiliated third parties related to the defendants.

While Petty's case is still pending, Minaj's was dismissed in its entirety. Hough's complaint was allegedly dismissed by the 'Tusa' star's attorney as a mere effort at blackmail.

Kenneth Petty's other legal woes

In 2020, Petty turned himself in for failing to failing to register as a sex offender after relocating to California. Later, he accepted a plea deal and was ordered to spend three years on probation as well as a year in home detention in 2022, as per USA Today

He was ordered to serve 120 days of home detention in September 2023 after violating the terms of his three-year probation by sharing videos on social media that seemed to threaten rapper Offset.

According to a court order obtained by Rolling Stone, he was caught on camera "making threatening remarks towards a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record."

The news was first reported by legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff, who asserted on X (formerlly Twitter) that the "individual is Offset, Cardi B's husband."

In March of this year, Minaj and her hushand were asked to pay $500,000 to a security guard after they failed to respond to a lawsuit, which alleged that Petty broke the staffer's jaw during a dispuite at a 2019 concert in Germany.
