LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans of Nicki Minaj, were left disgruntled when the official Grammy Awards social media account prematurely announced that she and Ice Spice had clinched the Best Rap Song for 'Barbie World' on X (formerly Twitter).

The organizers had apparently decided to announce several awards ahead of the scheduled commencement time of 8 pm ET on Sunday, February 4, to streamline the event's packed schedule.

Even though the post declaring the supposed victory of Minaj and Ice Spice was swiftly removed and replaced, it managed to cause a stir among the rapper's fanbase.

During the Grammys' premiere ceremony, The Recording Academy unveiled several winners, and a mix-up reportedly occurred when the award for Best Rap Song was being presented.

On the other hand, viewers of the pre-broadcast ceremony, which was live-streamed on the Recording Academy's YouTube channel, witnessed 'Scientists & Engineers' by Killer Mike being announced as the winner, as reported by aceshowbiz.com.

The Recording Academy erroneously declared on X (formerly Twitter) that 'Barbie World' by Minaj and Ice Spice from the 'Barbie' soundtrack had won, only to delete the post shortly after.

"Congrats Best Rap Song winner — 'SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS' @killermike ft. André 3000, @1future and @ErynAllenKane," read the new post.

Nicki Minaj is yet to win a Grammy Award despite receiving 12 nominations 

Minaj received two nominations at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for her song 'Barbie World', which is notably featured in the credits of Greta Gerwig's acclaimed film, 'Barbie'.

Despite being nominated 12 times throughout her career, the 41-year-old artist has yet to win the prestigious award. This has led to speculation among her fans that the Grammys may harbor a bias against her.

Minaj's first nomination came during the 55th Grammy Awards for her collaboration with Ludacris on 'My Chick Bad'.

A Facebook user, Innocent Tino, remarked, "Grammy do Nicki Minaj str0ng thing sha .You know she has never won any Award ever. They mistakenly tweeted she won whilst she did not...Chai! It was K!ller Mike that won. Was this done to Emb@rass her ?

"They have lost their credibility," stated another, while a person opined, "She won it.....I feel it was changed last minute. They are still fighting her for disobeying them years ago."

"Proves that politics is playing a big role here," mentioned someone else and a fan added, "They're still beefing with Nicki for going against them since 13years ago! This is a disrespect to her and Ice Spice!"
