Hillary Clinton slammed for hypocrisy as she claims Elon Musk’s DOGE team has 'no relevant experience'
WASHINGTON, DC: It looks like tech billionaire Elon Musk is in former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's crosshairs.
Clinton took a jab at Musk’s newly minted Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team, calling out its members for being too young to even rent a car—let alone reform the nation’s air safety regulations.
This came after Donald Trump’s newly appointed transportation secretary Sean Duffy announced that Musk’s task force would be leading efforts to modernize the country’s aviation system — just days after a tragic mid-air collision between a jet and a helicopter killed 67 people in Washington, DC.

Sean Duffy broke the news in an X (formerly Twitter) post: “Big News - Talked to the DOGE team. They are going to plug in to help upgrade our aviation system.”
Shortly after, Musk himself doubled down on the announcement. “With the support of President @realDonaldTrump, the @DOGE team will aim to make rapid safety upgrades to the air traffic control system," he wrote.

Just a few days ago, the FAA’s primary aircraft safety notification system failed for several hours!https://t.co/WHwNNBN0Zd https://t.co/fwOJ9BUBX5
But it wasn’t long before Clinton swooped in to pour cold water on the idea, slamming the group for its lack of experience.
“They have no relevant experience. Most of them aren’t old enough to rent a car,” Clinton fired back in an X post directed at Duffy. “And you’re going to let them mess with airline safety that’s already deteriorated on your watch?” she continued.
For reference, most US rental car companies impose an age restriction of 25 or older to rent a vehicle without hefty fees—something Clinton pointed to as a dig at Musk’s 19-to-26-year-old squad.

Clinton didn’t stop at air safety. She also accused Musk of using his growing influence within the government to gain access to sensitive federal data systems.
"Elon Musk is mounting a blitzkrieg-style administrative coup of the US government, accessing and editing critical systems that manage everything from Social Security payments to private taxpayer information," Clinton posted on her Instagram Stories, after having tried to conceal the deletion of over 30,000 emails from her private server while serving as secretary of state.
She also claimed that "many Americans are totally unaware that critical systems people rely on - which run on (and funnel!) taxpayer dollars - are being smashed and grabbed."
Hillary Clinton slammed for hypocrisy
Hillary Clinton’s outrage over Elon Musk’s alleged misconduct brought back memories of her 2016 email scandal when an FBI investigation found she had mishandled classified documents by conducting official State Department business on a private server, according to the Daily Mail. Her critics wasted no time pointing out the irony.
Secretary Duffy himself clapped back, telling Clinton: “Madam Secretary, with all due respect, ‘experienced’ Washington bureaucrats are the reason our nation’s infrastructure is crumbling. You need to sit this one out.”

Other responses on social media were even more brutal.
"Deleting stuff? We know you're good at deleting incriminating evidence The jig is up Hillary," added another.
"Hillary Clinton and the democrats have stated that private servers are ok for government business. Carry on Elon Musk. Carry on," someone else quipped.
"You would think Hillary would be too busy shredding Clinton Foundation docs at her daughter's house to be commenting on anything," a comment read.
"Hillary should just walk away from politics completely. She's still bitter about 2016. She's obsessed with power & she's upset that she'll never become President," another offered

While Musk largely ignored the criticism, he did fire off a cryptic post pointing to unverified allegations that Chelsea Clinton was involved in an $84 million financial fraud scheme.
DOGE’s role in the Trump administration
Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been a hot-button issue ever since Donald Trump appointed him to streamline federal operations and cut bureaucratic waste.
While some praise his efforts, others worry that his access to sensitive Treasury data—such as Social Security and Medicare payment systems—could lead to the manipulation of taxpayer funds.
No concrete evidence of wrongdoing has emerged thus far, but that hasn’t stopped concerns from spreading.
