LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hoda Kotb recently appeared to hint that she might be replacing Kelly Clarkson on her daytime talk show.

The former ‘Today’ show host went on an episode of ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ on Thursday, June 5, where she was asked about ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’.

“I heard the rumors that you might be starting a daytime talk show. Is that something you would ever consider doing?” an audience member questioned, as reported by People.

Hoda Kotb changes tune on Kelly Clarkson talk show rumors

Hoda Kotb replied, “Are you talking about the Kelly Clarkson rumor?” before stating, “I feel like Kelly is in a class all by herself. My whole thing with talk shows and all that stuff, I’m a never-say-never person.”

The 60-year-old then added, “You don’t know what life’s gonna bring you. But, at this moment, I’m having such fun with the ride that I’m on.”

However, during her May 28 ‘Today’ show return, the mother of two had said about the rumor, “Delete. Delete. That’s not true,” as reported by OK! Magazine.

She also said, “I want to ask you all a real question. Do you think that if I ever came back to TV? ... Do you know the only place I would ever come back is? Right here, this is the spot. There’s no place like home.”

Hoda Kotb’s daughter Hope needs constant care due to Type 1 diabetes

Hoda Kotb left the ‘Today’ show earlier this year to take care of her daughter Hope, six, who has Type 1 diabetes.

Kotb shared with People, “It’s kind of constant care for Hope. We’re monitoring her 24/7.”

“She was getting shots — four or five a day — every day for a year. Now she is getting them less frequently because we have some other means to get her what she needs, but there’s a lot to it. Some kids can have sweets and she can’t. If she’s up in the night, we have to take care of her at night,” she revealed.

The TV personality, however, also asserted that her daughter “is a happy, healthy, rambunctious, amazing kid, and we have to watch her. Diabetes is a part of her, but not all of her. I hope it shapes her but never defines her.

“I really wanted to and needed to be here to watch over her. So, whenever she needs anything, and it can happen at night, multiple times, I’m up — I’m up up up,” she said.

“But I would never, ever want Hope to one day grow up and say, ‘Oh, my mom left her job because [of me].’ It wasn’t that alone. But if you look at it cumulatively, it was a part of that decision,” Kotb added.
