'Hollywood is disgusting': Megyn Kelly reveals why she hated Charlize Theron playing her in 'Bombshell'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly has criticized Charlize Theron for remarks she made in the past after the actress portrayed the media personality in the popular 2019 film 'Bombshell.'
The movie 'Bombshell' tells the thought-provoking true story of three astute, driven, and powerful women who, after anchoring one of the biggest news networks in America, make headlines of their own when they take a huge risk to oppose the man who made them famous.
Megyn Kelly slammed Charlize Theron for her remarks made during 'Bombshell' movie press tour
In a recent podcast episode of 'The Megyn Kelly Show,' the journalist asserted: "It’s so nasty… Charlize Theron and her friends basically cribbed my entire book ... Then she went on her press tour and she went out and she kept dumping on me."
The 2019 film chronicled the efforts of three ex-Fox News anchors to bring allegations of sexual harassment against the late CEO Roger Ailes to light. In the movie, 49-year-old Theron portrayed 53-year-old Kelly, per Radar Online.
"First of all, you stole my book, you stole my very intimate story, and you didn't pay me anything… You took absolutely no time to actually get to know me. And then you decide to just spend your whole press tour dumping on me," Kelly added.
"Hollywood is disgusting. Just take your f**king award and slink away."
Megyn Kelly previously revealed her reason for being 'pissed' off with Charlize Theron
The latest harsh criticism wasn't Kelly's first jab at the South African actress. During an episode of her show in May with Nellie Bowles as a guest, Kelly talked about Theron publicly doubting the timeliness of her accusations against the Fox executive.
Kelly previously attacked Theron for remarks she had made while promoting 'Bombshell.' Theron questioned Kelly about her #MeToo time frame during her press tour.
Kelly told journalist Bowles at the time, "When she went on her media tour to promote the movie, people said to her something like, ‘Well, Megyn Kelly wasn’t the first, she had been harassed by him years earlier and she didn’t come out with it until years later.’"
"And she had the nerve to say, ‘Megyn Kelly was late to the party. No question.’"
"B**** you weren’t even at the party. You’d never f**king came forward with any allegations. I’m sure you were harassed. But you’re too p-----footed to say anything about it. So take a seat," Kelly continued.
The former Fox News anchor continued, saying she was "so pissed about" Theron's remarks.
According to The Wrap, 'Bombshell' follows Gretchen Carlson (Nicole Kidman), Kelly (Charlize Theron), and Kayla Pospisil (Margot Robbie) as they confront Fox News chief Roger Ailes (John Lithgow) and the negativity that surrounds the network as a whole.
Megyn Kelly slammed Stormy Daniels for #MeToo stories
Although Theron's disapproval of Kelly's #MeToo narrative initially incited her fury, Kelly has also openly attacked other prominent women who have disclosed similar charges years later.
The political pundit attacked Stormy Daniels, the Donald Trump hush money accuser, saying she "completely revised her account of the interlude" during the trial.
Kelly told Adam Carolla on SiriusXM's 'The Megyn Kelly Show', "What shocked me the most is that she completely revised her account of the interlude."
"It went from this casual description back when she first came out with this publicly of, ‘He was interesting and he was nice and it was fine, he was a nice guy,’ to, ‘I blacked out!’" she added.
Kelly said of Daniels' testimony, "Her new testimony is, ‘The blood left my fingers and toes. The room was spinning and he was stopping me from getting out because he was sitting on the bed between me exiting the bathroom and the door but in a nonthreatening manner. Oh, and by the way, I didn’t say no. But you know, I didn’t know how I got here. What choices had I made?"
"It’s a bulls--- #MeToo revisionism and everyone’s buying it."
