‘How I Met Your Mother’ actor Nick Pasqual arrested near Mexico border for allegedly stabbing GF Allie Shehorn 20 times
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘How I Met Your Mother’ actor Nick Pasqual is arrested while trying to flee the country in Texas.
The 34-year-old star is accused of stabbing his estranged girlfriend Allie Shehorn, who is an award-winning makeup artist, per prosecutors.

Pasqual was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder for reportedly stabbing the victim 20 times. He also faces one count of first-degree residential burglary with a person present and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiance, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent.
He is accused of “inflicting great bodily injury upon the victim under circumstances involving domestic violence,” per prosecutors.
If proven guilty, he will face a life sentence in the state prison of California.
According to reports, Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s California, home around 4.30 am on May 23, and attacked her.
How is Allie Shehorn coping?
She suffered injuries to her neck along with cuts in her arms and abdomen region, per New York Post.
Shehorn was found by her surrogate mother Christine White, “This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody. You don’t think this is ever going to happen to you,” she told KTLA.
“I found her and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened. That wasn’t a pretty sight," White added.
Shehorn was rushed to the hospital and after undergoing multiple surgeries, she was taken out of ICU.
Authorities captured Pasqual at the US-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, the California district attorney confirmed on Wednesday, May 29.
“My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the victim in this horrific incident,” Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon said in a statement.
“Our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, extends our support and resources to her as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from both the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her,” the DA added.
As per her GoFundMe page, Shehorn has been making “positive steps to her recovery.”
“It’s still a very long road but she is facing it with courage and determination,” her fellow makeup artist makeup artist Jed Dornoff wrote.
