LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The magic of unexpected reunions and heartfelt camaraderie unfolded on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' during Hugh Grant's guest appearance.

What started as an engaging conversation about Grant's works, specifically his role as an Oompa-Loompa in 'Wonka' turned into an unanticipated surprise visit from his co-star Timothee Chalamet.

As Grant settled into the interview, Jimmy Fallon, the charismatic host, expressed his admiration for the seasoned actor, referring to himself as an ardent fan eagerly waiting for this momentous meeting.

Timothee Chalamet and Hugh Grant playfully banter on 'The Tonight Show'

Grant was regaling the audience with stories about his work when Fallon jokingly threw the floor open for questions. That's when Timothee Chalamet, dressed as a "big fan" from the crowd, covering his face with a 'Love Actually' baseball cap and sporting a fake mustache, chimed in with a query about Grant's experience working with other actors.

Timothee Chalamet asked Hugh, "You know, you work with some incredible actors throughout your career. You've worked I mean, some really incredible actors. And I was just curious, like, where does, uh, Timothee Chalamet rank on that list?"

Grant, pretending to be unaware of the prank, played along, launching into a mock rant about disliking Chalamet, calling him "weird."

Hugh Grant quipped, "I'm assuming this is not part of the show that's going to be broadcast. I'll tell you the truth. Um, to be honest, I didn't like him. And, none of us did. I don't know what it is. There's something just weird about that whole French "Tim-o-tay Sha-la-may"," mocking his co-star's accent.

But the jig was soon over when Fallon revealed the charade, and Chalamet sheepishly shed his disguise to much laughter and applause.
