Hugh Jackman sides with Martha Stewart in roasting 'not so funny' Ryan Reynolds
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hugh Jackman joined Martha Stewart in poking fun at his friend Ryan Reynolds after the entrepreneur suggested that the 'Free Guy' star isn’t as funny as many believe.
The lighthearted back and forth, which unfolded on X (formerly Twitter), is the latest addition to the comical faux-feud between the two actors.
Martha Stewart's 'not so funny' jab at Ryan Reynolds sparks social media banter
During her appearance as a special guest on Bilt Rewards' 'Rent Free' game show, Martha Stewart was asked to name the top three celebrities she thought would be the most fun to hang out with, according to the Daily Mail.
Thinking about the answers, she mused, "He’s probably on the list just ’cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face — Ryan Reynolds, is he one of those."
She didn’t hold back, adding, "You want to know something? He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious."
However, she did give Reynolds some credit, saying, "He can act funny, but he isn’t funny. Maybe he can get to be funny again." Stewart then quipped, "I’m going to get in trouble," since she lives close to the actor in Bedford, New York.
The answers were revealed as Taylor Swift, Reynolds, and Stewart's close friend, Snoop Dogg.
The actor and his wife, Blake Lively own a $2 million home near Stewart's 153-acre estate. She reportedly became friends with the couple soon after they bought their house in her neighborhood.
Responding to Pop Crave's post about Stewart's remarks on X, the 'Red Notice' actor wrote, "I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once. The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so."
Jackman seized the opportunity and responded to Reynolds' tweet, writing, "Finally someone says it."

Ryan Reynolds trolled Hugh Jackman with socks featuring his face on his 53rd birthday
In October 2021, Ryan Reynolds celebrated Hugh Jackman's 53rd birthday by playfully trolling the 'Wolverine' star with a TikTok video showcasing socks that featured his face, as per People.
"Look I don't tell you how to celebrate Hugh Jackman's birthday. So don't tell me," quipped Reynolds, adding in the caption, "Socks to be Hugh."
Jackman shared Reynolds' TikTok on his Instagram and responded with a video of his own, thanking friends and fans for their birthday greetings.
"I know there's been a lot of messages about Ryan's post — him wearing socks with my face on them and wondering where you can get them. You can't get them anywhere because he made them himself, he darned them himself," joked the 'Real Steel' star.
He added, "I know, it's just really sad. But anyway, I guess you could ask him, he might darn you a pair or give you the ones he's been wearing."

Martha Stewart unhappy with Netflix's 'Martha' documentary
Martha Stewart's life was spotlighted in a recent Netflix documentary, 'Martha', but the 83-year-old wasn't entirely pleased with how things were portrayed, especially when it came to the final scenes.
In a no-holds-barred interview with the New York Times, she expressed her dissatisfaction, particularly complaining about unflattering camera angles and the documentary’s choice of music.
"He [ RJ Cutler] chooses to use the ugliest angle... I told him, ‘Don’t use that angle! That’s not the nicest angle,'" stated the entrepreneur, clearly frustrated with the editing choices.
Stewart added, "Those last scenes with me looking like a lonely old lady walking hunched over in the garden? Boy, I told him to get rid of those. And he refused. I hate those last scenes. Hate them."
"I had ruptured my Achilles' tendon and had recently had an operation, hence the limping... that I can live through that and still work seven days a week," boasted the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia founder, showcasing her resilience.
