Hugh Jackman's ex Deborra-Lee Furness believes his romance with Sutton Foster will last 'just one year'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hugh Jackman's ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness thinks that his ex-husband’s “sneaky romance” with former co-star Sutton Foster would last “just one year before it collapses”, an insider informed Radar Online.
The source added that the ‘Wolverine’ actor's former wife does not think the new relationship will last very long as “she knows him better than anyone”, per the outlet.
Deborra-Lee Furness thinks Hugh Jackman’s new romance will last 'just one year'
The insider informed the outlet, “Debs can spot a midlife crisis from miles away, and she knows Hugh better than anyone. He's needy and he will cry on Sutton's shoulder and try to help her solve her problems, but he won't give her space – and that's just the beginning of why it won't work out, in her opinion.”
The source further added, “It doesn't take Einstein to see Hugh is infatuated. But Debs is telling friends it'll fizzle out before long. The passion and novelty of this once secretive affair will fade, along with those love hormones!”
Notably, Jackman and Foster were co-stars in the Broadway play ‘The Music Man’ from February 2022 to January 2023 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City, according to Radar Online.
Interestingly, a few months after the play closed, Jackman and Furness announced their split in September 2023, after being married for nearly three decades.
They said in a statement, “We have been blessed to share almost three decades as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
In early January 2025, Jackman and Foster confirmed their romance after months of rumors as the two showed some public display of affection when they stepped out for a date night in Los Angeles.
Hugh Jackman ‘wants to make’ Sutton Foster his wife
An insider claimed to Sky News that Hugh Jackman “wants to” see Sutton Foster as his wife.
“Hugh had a lot of back and forth while he was in Australia for the holidays but ultimately, he realized how much he missed her,” the source informed the outlet.
The insider added, “The magic came flooding back when they reunited and ultimately marriage is the end game for these two. Hugh is clear he wants to make Sutton his wife.”
Notably, Foster was earlier married to Ted Griffin, and their decade-long marriage ended last October.
Interestingly, Jackman and Foster's relationship was “Broadway's worst-kept secret”. An insider earlier told US Weekly, “A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”
Moreover, despite announcing their split months ago, Jackman and Furness are yet to settle their bombshell divorce.
Insiders have also claimed that the split could get “messy” as they struggle to split their estimated $250 million fortune as they reportedly did not sign a prenuptial agreement, per Radar Online.
