LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Deborra-Lee Furness revealed that seeing hand-in-hand photos of her ex-husband Hugh Jackman, and his new partner, Sutton Foster, brought her a sense of relief. Sources close to Furness shared insights into why these pictures gave her comfort.

Deborra-Lee Furness didn’t feel sadness but a sense of relief after seeing photos circulating online of her ex-husband, Hugh Jackman, going public with his former co-star, Sutton Foster.

It’s important to note that the 68-year-old Australian actress was married to the Hollywood star for 27 years before they shocked the world with their split in September 2023. Rumors about Jackman and Foster’s relationship had been swirling, and those rumors were confirmed on the night of January 6.

Furness, who had been plagued by suspicions for months, can now finally move on. A source told Daily Mail, “Deborra-Lee feels a sense of relief, to be honest with you.”

The source continued, “She has been plagued with suspicions. She was told it wasn’t true, and that they were nothing more than close friends who worked together. But something in her heart told her that this was not true.”

“She trusted her intuition and her intuition was right. She finally feels at ease after getting confirmation that her fears and suspicions were warranted,” the source explained. “She can now fully close this chapter and move on.”

The statement concluded by saying, “She has nothing more to say about her ex-husband and his close friend Sutton.”

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster become romantically involved after personal struggles

Hugh Jackman who portrayed Harold Hill alongside Sutton Foster as Marian Paroo in 'The Music Man', made their romance public this week, as they are no longer "interested in hiding their love."

An insider shared, "Enough time has passed for Hugh to stop playing games and hide his feelings and his relationship."

The source added that the couple isn’t concerned with secrecy. "They both wanted to be considerate of their exes and anyone else that might be upset, but they aren't interested in hiding."

The insider also noted, "Hugh's close friends have seen a rejuvenated glow to him and that is all thanks to Sutton."

Sources have confirmed that the couple began their romance after understanding the difficulties in each other’s personal lives. It's important to note they didn’t start a relationship until Jackman had moved on from "the heartbreak of his relationship ending."

The source continued, "Things had been very rudimentary between Deborra-Lee and Hugh after the pandemic. Their relationship wasn't the same."

The insider concluded, "Hugh had to move with his feelings. He had such a special connection with Deborra-Lee, but that is now over and he has to do what is right for him."

Since their split, Furness has kept mostly silent, but last year she shared that she had "big plans" for her career after the breakup.

She also told The Daily Telegraph in Australia, "It's exciting. You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little frightening and we are all a bit scared of it but I think it is probably our greatest gift."
