Hugh Jackman’s two children ‘feeling guilty’ for welcoming his girlfriend Sutton Foster into their lives
NORTH BONDI, AUSTRALIA: Hugh Jackman’s children are reportedly “feeling guilty” over their interactions with their father’s rumored girlfriend Sutton Foster.
The ‘Wolverine’ star’s two children — son Oscar, 24, and daughter Ava, 19, — are allegedly trying to come to terms with the fact that they have welcomed their father’s reported new flame into their family.
While the children are still trying to wrap their heads over Jackman’s divorce from their mother Deborra-Lee Furness after 27 years of marriage, they are also feeling guilty about the prospect if they develop a close relationship with the Broadway actress.

According to a source close to the family, though one year has passed since their famous parents’ divorce, Oscar and Ava Jackman are still trying to adjust to the arrangement.
While the 56-year-old ‘X-Men’ star is currently spending the holidays with his children in Australia, it is still unclear whether Furness will join them.
Meanwhile, the source shared that Oscar and Ava are also having a difficult time coming to terms with their father’s rumored romance.
“It's been hard for the kids, having to welcome Sutton into their father's world with their own mixed feelings about it, while at the same time feeling guilty if they get too close,” a source told Woman's Day, as reported by Daily Mail.
The insider added, “It's all getting a bit messy but Hugh's hoping time heals all wounds so if they can get through this holiday season without any big blow-ups, they'll be in smoother waters coming into the new year.”
While the ‘Logan’ actor is spending Christmas with his children, he is most likely to miss spending the holiday with Foster, as she is currently performing in the stage production of 'Once Upon A Mattress' in Los Angeles.
The outlet further revealed that in the meantime, Foster has reportedly introduced Jackman to her seven-year-old adopted daughter Emily.
Another source shared with New Idea, “Hugh has met Sutton's daughter Emily - she even calls him 'Uncle Hugh'!”
Hugh Jackman is ‘conscious of respecting’ Deborra-Lee Furness’ feelings
With the ‘X-Men’ actor spending the holidays with his children in North Bondi, Australia, his alleged previous fear of spending Christmas alone has been dissipated.
Previously another source shared with Woman’s Day, "Hugh and Sutton would love to get together with their kids for the holidays but it’s still awkward and Hugh is conscious of respecting Deb’s feelings."
"It’s going to take more time for loved ones to adjust to the new normal and so that means Hugh and Sutton are bracing themselves for way less time together than they’d like during the holidays," shared the source.
"It’s a delicate balancing act and he feels like if anyone is going to spend less time with the kids this year, it’s him,” noted the source previously.
The source previously too spoke about Oscar and Ava and claimed that they "just want peace and happiness for their parents. But they’re definitely aware of the tension."
Jackman and the ‘Correlli’ actress filed for divorce in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
Previously, the ‘Van Helsing’ star and Foster sparked relationship rumors, with another source claiming Furness was the last person to know about the romance.
Jackman and the 49-year-old actress attended public events together and stepped out during the opening night of their show ‘The Music Man’ on Broadway in February 2022.
In October 2024, Foster filed for divorce from her husband Ted Griffin, seeking an uncontested divorce.
