Hulk Hogan's daughter says he feared marrying Sky Daily over Scientology: ‘Didn’t want to get into it’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke Hogan has claimed the wrestling icon was hesitant to marry his wife, Sky Daily, over concerns about her connections to Scientology.

The two were estranged at the time of his death, and Brooke says those concerns were among the factors that caused a rift between them.

The singer and reality star opened up during an emotional appearance on 'Bubba the Love Sponge’s Twitch stream, speaking about her relationship with Sky and the tension with her late father.

Brooke said her father once told her he would never marry again but described Sky as “nice” and “cool” in the early stages.

She added that Hogan told her, “She’s pushing the marriage thing real hard,” and that she responded, “Well, Dad, you don’t have to do what you don’t have to do, you know. Blame it on me.”

Although Sky has always been nice to her, she however added, Hulk once told her, “I’m trying to figure a way out of this thing.”

According to Brooke, her father appeared fearful about ending the relationship. “Well, if I broke up with her, it’d be really bad,” she recalled him saying.

When she asked what he meant, she said he replied, “I don’t want to get into it.” Brooke said that was the first moment she thought, “What the hell? Why would he say that?”

Brooke said she later learned from others about Sky’s links to Scientology.

“Somebody brought it to our attention that she was a Scientologist. She said she was a Scientologist but she said she left. I started digging a little bit deeper," Brooke said.

She continued, "I don’t know much about Scientology at all so, I’m just telling you what my digging did. She’s still in good standings."

When Brooke questioned her father about it, she recalled him saying, “Oh, well, she just doesn’t want to leave [the Church of Scientology] because she still wants her kids to be able to see the grandparents and they are the highest level, like OT eight, I believe.” OT eight is regarded as the highest level in Scientology.

Brooke did not say when this conversation took place, but Hogan and Sky married in September 2023, two months after announcing their engagement.

Brooke Hogan says she removed herself from father’s will

Brooke revealed she took herself out of her father’s will, hinting that Sky’s alleged Scientology ties were part of the reason.

“I said to take me off everything, I didn’t want to be a part of this. I was sobbing when I sent the message to Terry McCoy, the guy who manages his money,” she said.

She added, “If Sky is a Scientologist, which apparently she is still in good standings, she said she left, it is not for me to judge."

She continued, "She was always nice to me, I have no problem with Sky. But if she was a Scientologist, I know that’s a very powerful backing. I don’t want to fight Linda [my mother], I don’t want to fight Scientology."

"I don’t want somebody I love to get knocked off. I don’t know how deep this stuff goes. It scared me, I just said I want out. It was never about money. I just know that the people around him are pretty shady and not in his best interests. Everybody is there for a paycheck," Brooke said.

Brooke Hogan opens on bond with late father Hulk Hogan

In a social media statement last week, Brooke opened on her bond with her estranged father, saying, “My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments.”

She described their connection as “quiet” and “sacred,” adding, “When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him.”

Reportedly Brooke’s husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, tried several times to reconcile her with Hogan.
