Billie Eilish reveals she once ended a relationship after having a dream about Christian Bale
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billie Eilish, who dazzled at the Independent Spirit Awards with her audacious appearance, recently revealed that she once called it quits on a romance after dreaming about none other than Christian Bale.
The 22-year-old musician's revelation follows the news that she will be performing 'What Was I Made For?' from 'Barbie' at the Oscars on March 10, as per Daily Mail. The song, which Billie co-wrote with her brother, Finneas O'Connell, has also received a nomination in the Best Original Song category.
Billie Eilish admitted Christian Bale from 'The Dark Knight' is her 'favorite'
During an interview with Amelia Dimoldenberg of 'Chicken Shop Date', Eilish and her brother, Finneas, discussed superheroes, among other topics.
Although the 'Bad Guy' songstress acknowledged that she doesn't "know much" about the genre, she insisted that her "favorite" and "the one" is Bale from 'The Dark Knight'.
At Dimoldenberg's Oscars Nominees "Pre-Luncheon" Luncheon, Billie remarked, "I gotta be real. A couple years ago I had a dream about Christian Bale and it was like in a little cafe in the sunlight, and it made me realize that I had to break up with my boyfriend."
"No, like, genuinely. I woke up and I was like [gasps] and I came to my senses," recalled the 'Happier Than Ever' singer, while her brother burst out laughing.
While keeping a modest profile in Hollywood, Bale and his wife, Sibi Blazic, have had a strong marriage for more than 20 years. Following their January 2000 elopement, the 'Batman' actor and the former model welcomed their two children, Emmeline in 2005 and Joseph in 2014.
Billie Eilish ended her relationship with The Neighbourhood's Jesse Rutherford after seven months of dating
During the Dimoldenberg interview, Billie chose to withhold the identity of her former boyfriend with whom she had broken up following the dream about Bale.
However, the singer gained notoriety when she called it quits with her boyfriend Jesse Rutherford, the lead vocalist of the alternative rock band The Neighbourhood, back in May 2023 after seven months of dating.
Their romance had generated criticism due to the 11-year age difference, as Billie was just 20 when she started dating Jesse, who was in his 30s, as per Daily Mail. They were initially linked when a fan spotted them together at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights in October 2022.
The couple made their red carpet debut at the glamorous 2022 LACMA Art+Film Gala in November 2022.
Billie also dated actor Matthew Tyler Vorce from 2021 to 2022, however, the two split due to allegations of infidelity. Later, Vorce—who is also 10 years older than the nine-time Grammy winner—denied the said accusations on his Instagram Story.
The 32-year-old producer and actor fiercely refuted the rumors, noting, "Nobody cheated on anyone. Relationships end. Simple as that. Creating rumors and LYING on the internet is dangerous."
