LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,' actress Chloe Sevigny opened up about a memorable and emotional encounter on the set of an upcoming project.

Sevigny shared the stage with a star-studded cast, including Naomi Watts, Demi Moore, Diane Lane, Calista Flockhart, and the iconic Molly Ringwald.

As Sevigny recounted the experience, she revealed an unexpected emotional reaction when meeting the '80s teen movie icon.

Fallon asked, "What a crazy, awesome cast this is, by the way  Naomi Watts, Demi Moore, Diane Lane, Calista Flockhart, Molly Ringwald." 

Host Jimmy Fallon delved into the star-studded cast, prompting Sevigny to express her excitement about working alongside iconic figures.

"Molly Ringwald," she exclaimed, eliciting cheers and applause from the audience. Fallon inquired further, asking if Sevigny had a fan moment upon meeting Ringwald.

"I mean, Samantha, 'Sixteen Candles.' I mean, come on. -Claire, 'Breakfast Club.' -'Pretty In Pink,'" Sevigny gushed, listing some of Ringwald's most iconic roles.

She continued, "I only worked with her a couple of days on set, but the first day when I worked with her, we sat down, and I just lost it. I started crying uncontrollably."

Sevigny's co-star Tom, who plays Capote in the project, was understandably puzzled by her emotional outburst.

"What's going on?" he asked. Sevigny explained, "We're sitting with Molly Ringwald. I know the cast is incredible, but Molly, to me, was just everything. She was my whole world when I was young."

The actress went on to share a childhood memory, saying, "A friend of mine had her autograph, and I was so envious. I was like, 'Oh, God, she has an autograph on her wall.' And now I'm working with her."

Sevigny's emotional connection to Ringwald was palpable, and Fallon, understanding the significance, encouraged her to share the sentiment with Molly. "Did you get to tell her?" Fallon asked.



 

Sevigny responded with a laugh, "She was sitting right there! She's like, 'Okay... Calm down. We have to act together. All right? Calm down.' I was like, 'I've done other things, too.'"

The actress concluded the conversation by expressing admiration for Molly Ringwald, proclaiming, "She's the best. Come on. She's coming on our show Thursday."
