'I may have to cut back a little': 'The View's Sunny Hostin decides to talk less about her family on air
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Executive producer Brian Teta was accompanied by co-host Sunny Hostin on the February 5 episode of 'The View: Behind the Table' podcast, where the latter admitted to sharing a lot about her family on camera.
During conversations on the morning talk show, 52-year-old Hostin often brings up her husband, Emmanuel, 52, and their two kids - Gabriel, 21, and Paloma, 17, according to The US Sun. She is planning to pull back on the habit at present.

Sunny Hostin's son is not happy with her over-sharing
Talking to Teta about her family's reaction to discussing their personal lives on television, Hostin admitted that Emmanuel gets "enraged" by comments from critics on social media.
Gabriel is not happy with the situation either, as Hostin said, "My son called me about something I said on the show, and so many people are asking him about it, and I think I have to rethink what I share about members of the family because I sometimes forget that 3 million people are watching us."
Reflecting on her televised conversations, she continued, "Sometimes I just forget we're in the moment, and we're all friends, and there's real chemistry on the show, and I blurt things out, and there are consequences."

Sunny Hostin discussing her family on the podcast
The co-host had opened up about her "nightmare" pregnancy with Gabriel on the January 30 episode of the podcast.
"At the third-month mark, after we'd told everyone, I got a torn placenta. And I'm rushed to the hospital, and they tell me that the baby's not gonna make it. And I just told everyone that I know that it's finally gonna happen," she had then shared.
Following her doctor's grim prognosis regarding the baby's slim chance of survival, Hostin was instructed to observe complete bed rest for the subsequent six months, a period during which she struggled with depression and weight gain.
However, Gavriel was delivered safely, and so was Paloma, four years later. After that Emmanuel refused to see her go through another difficult pregnancy.
Back in 2023, Hostin had spoken of her son's skateboard accident on the podcast, as well as her daughter feeling distant from her in her teenage years.
