LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The celebrity singing competition 'The Masked Singer' debuted a new episode on Wednesday, November 13, celebrating 'Who Are You Fest Night' and allowed the Group C competitors to finally enter the competition.

Strawberry Shortcake, Macaron, Ice King, Sherlock Hound, and Royal Knight were among the most recent and final set of celebrities.

After failing to strike the correct notes to secure a second round, Macaron was unmasked and identified as surfer, subject and author of 'Soul Surfer', Bethany Hamilton, who revealed to CinemaBlend that she was unaware there would be singing involved.

'The Masked Singer's Macaron Bethany Hamilton thought she 'was gonna be a judge'

There were a few extremely noteworthy performances on Wednesday night but Macaron was eventually sent home. Although she wasn't shocked to leave, she did reveal something startling during her CinemaBlend interview.

'The Masked Singer' introduced Bethany Hamilton, a celebrated surfer who eventually made a comeback to surfing after surviving a shark attack in which her left arm was ripped off, per FOX 13.

Having participated in everything from a season of 'The Amazing Race' to a celebrity diving competition, Hamilton, 34, is no stranger to reality TV.

She was thrilled to join up when the celebrity singing show contacted her, but she revealed that she was unaware that singing would be a part of it.

Speaking of her astonishment, Hamilton said: "Originally I thought I was gonna be a judge. So I didn't even realize I was actually singing. And then once I realized I was singing, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh'."

"I sing to my children at bedtime, but like singing is not my forte. But I am competitive and I was like, ‘Maybe I can make up for it with my performance and whatnot'," she added.

Surfer Bethany Hamilton told Variety that despite the fact that she was eliminated, she still had fun during her brief performance on the show. "I wanted to originally do ‘The Masked Singer’ just because I thought it would be fun," she remarked.

"I sing to my children every day and thought maybe I’d get better at singing. And it’s also an opportunity to encourage people, and that’s what my life is all about," the surfing legend added.

Panelist Rita Ora correctly named Bethany Hamilton as one of the participants on the show and Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg concurred while Ken Jeong believed it was Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Hamilton went on to say, "Being unstoppable is not about being perfect. To me, it’s getting back on your board and paddling back out even when you feel discouraged, even when you feel down and just knowing that you can overcome."

"You are an inspiration to us all," Jeong replied.

Hamilton received a Teen Choice Award and won an ESPY Award for Best Comeback Athlete in 2004.
