NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Megyn Kelly on Tuesday, May 5, told Stephen A Smith that she would "endorse him again" because President Donald Trump delivered on the main goals she wanted for the country.

During their conversation about the upcoming midterms, Kelly explained that she has no regrets about supporting the president during the last election despite his current dip in the polls.

Megyn Kelly says she would endorse Donald Trump again

When questioned by Stephen A Smith about her previous warnings that Republicans could be "wiped out" in the midterms due to voters turning on Trump, Kelly remained resolute in her personal alignment.

She explained that even though she is worried about the upcoming elections, she still supports him because she cares more about the results he achieved than how he is perceived by the public.

“I don't think I got anything wrong because um Okay. I would endorse him again. You know, I don't regret endorsing him and I thank God still that he won,” Kelly told Smith.

Kelly lauds Trump’s fulfillment of core campaign promises

Kelly’s primary defense of President Trump centers on what she views as a successful implementation of hardline conservative priorities, specifically regarding border security and social issues.

“And listen, the two main things that I was hoping Trump would do, he has done. I wanted him to push back against the trans insanity, and I wanted him to close the border. And I give him an A+ on both of those,” Kelly remarked.

Kelly acknowledges differences with Tucker Carlson and Trump’s flaws

The conversation also explored the growing rift between other media figures and Trump, specifically referencing Tucker Carlson’s break from Trump.

“So, I like my friend Tucker, his number one issue is don't start any new wars, and that's a big issue. And Trump said one thing and did another. So, I understand why he's completely broken with him, and he regrets the endorsement, but we have different priorities, and so we're in different places on that,” she explained.

"I wish he hadn't done this. You know, I'm not pro-war and I that was also an important one to me. But in the hierarchy of what was most important to me, Trump has delivered and continues to deliver on a lot of them," she further stated.

While she admitted to being bothered by his temperament, she concluded that his policy record remains the priority.

“You know, his petty, thin skinned nature isn't one of them. And that comes out when he's dwindling in the polls, and he is right now. So, he's kind of lashing out at a lot of people and a lot of things, and he's not being totally honest about where we are in this war,” Kelly observed.
