Idris Elba’s wife Sabrina reveals one regret she has from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Idris Elba’s wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba has opened up about attending Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding, six years after the event at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Speaking on the ‘Walking The Dog’ podcast with Emily Dean, the Canadian model shared one regret she still had from the 2018 royal engagement, which was watched by nearly 750 million across the globe, as reported by Express UK.

Sabrina Dhowre Elba, who tied the knot with Idris Elba in 2019, wore Gucci for the wedding. Her ensemble included a white dress with a black knee-length coat, featuring green and red trim.

She also added a white shoulder bag, a pair of Mary Jane Gucci pumps, and a navy hat to her outfit, as per Daily Mail.

But now, the 35-year-old media personality thinks her ensemble was “a little loud”.

She told Dean, “It was actually one of the first times that a big brand was dressing me, and Gucci was dressing, and I was so excited to take whatever.”

“I was like, 'Oh my god thank you' and I was genuinely excited. Looking back, I maybe would have worn something different. It was a little loud, maybe,” she stated.

However, the podcast host was not convinced with her analysis as she told Sabrina, “I think what you did was bring a modernity to it, and you were a disruptor and challenging the perceived narrative. You're saying, 'No, it's a wedding, these are my friends, and I'm going to wear what I want to express myself'."

During the podcast, Sabrina Dhowre also disclosed that she was surprised to know she was one of the attendees of the royal wedding.

“Oh my god, I did not think I would be at that wedding. I kept telling myself it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Then I had like 100 text messages saying, 'Oh my god, we can see you on the telly',” she said.

“Everybody watched that, you can kind of remember where you were when that happened and I was like, 'What am I doing here?' But I had the best time; they're such good people,” Sabrina added.

Sabrina Dhowre Elba went to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding because the royal had asked her actor and rapper husband, Idris Elba, to be the DJ at the wedding event.

“So Harry and I, we’ve hung out a couple of times, through his dad. His dad's charity, the Prince's Trust, helped me out as a young actor. So I do a lot of work with them, Harry and William... And Harry came to a couple of parties that I deejayed,” Idris previously shared during an episode of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’.

“Harry came to a couple of parties that I DJed and he was like, 'What are you doing on [May 19]? I told him nothing and then he asked if I would DJ at his wedding... I was like is this a joke?” the actor added.
