LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Glen Powell’s fans have to wait a little longer to know whether their favorite actor will be part of the speculated 'Top Gun: Maverick' sequel.

While promoting his movie Hit Man at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival with his costars, the actor was asked to give inside information on the possible sequel.

"That is all classified," Powell said in response. Featuring alongside Tom Cruise and Miles Teller in the 2022 hit. Glen plays Lt Jake "Hangman" Seresin in 'Maverick,' which is the sequel to the 1986 blockbuster hit ‘Top Gun.’

Glen Powell and Miles Teller on potential sequel

Earlier Powell and co-star Teller hinted that the third installment is in the works.

"It's all up to Tom, there's definitely been conversations [but] it's above my pay grade," Powell told People in August 2022, when asked about the same.

He added, "It's really up to Tom. It's up to [producer Jerry Bruckheimer]. It's up to all the powers that be, but if they call me back to Miramar, I'll be there."

Teller said, "I've never really experienced something like this in my life, It's a really good feeling," he told ET.

"For him to share Top Gun with me and a lot of these other young actors it's just been such a wild ride, and it's still going," Teller said on Cruise.

Glen Powell recently joined Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show' to share anecdotes about his daring stunts and humorous escapades from the time of filming the romantic comedy 'Anyone But You' alongside Sydney Sweeney, reports MEAWW.

The actor noted how his parents are about to appear in a scene with him and Sweeney, stating that his mother gave a "tour de force" performance.
