LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kevin Spacey is making his Hollywood return after being evicted in a sexual assault case.

The ‘House of Cards’ alum is playing a hitman in his upcoming flick ‘Peter Five Eight.’

'Peter Five Eight' is a thriller from 40s

Spacey portrays a hitman in the film and, in the latest trailer, he can be seen disposing a dead body, holding a woman at knifepoint, and calling himself as a ‘fallen soul.’

He goes into a small town at the behest of his  boss to murder a real estate agent named Sam, as per Daily Mail.

“In this town, nothing is what it seems,” is the tagline of the flick.

Michael Zaiko Hall, writer-director called the film as “a contemporary film rendered in a 1940's pulp-melodrama style.”

“Rebecca De Mornay, Jake Weber and Jet Jandreau all play wonderfully in this world - while Kevin Spacey has crafted a unique and memorable character for his fans to enjoy,” he said.

“We're thrilled that Invincible Entertainment will be bringing this story to the big screen in March,” Hall said about the producers' independent film company.

Kevin Spacey's statement after being cleared by court

Spacey was cleared by the court of sexual assault, to which the actor said, “I imagine that many of you can understand that there's a lot for me to process after what has just happened today. But I would like to say that I'm enormously grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and all of the facts, carefully, before they reached their decision.”

“I am humbled by the outcome today. I also want to thank the staff inside this courthouse, the security, my legal team and Evan Lowenstein for being here every day,” he continued.

Kevin Spacey was recently on Calson Tucker’s show and the two talked about the actor’s rumored presidential campaign.

“Well, that’s really a decision for the people, Tucker. It’s not something that I really think about or want to do,” Spacey said.

The ‘American Beauty’ actor further stated, “But I’ve always believed that nothing should be off the table in life or art. I think we can both agree that we need to get some adults back in the room, so if that means taking on the chief executive role, well that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make for this great nation.”
