Grande had previously paused her singing career to focus on the live-action film adaptation of 'Wicked'.

Her last album, 'Positions', was released in 2020, after which she concentrated on 'Wicked' and her beauty brand REM Beauty, according to Billboard.

The artist has kept her fans entertained with appearances on The Weeknd's 'Die for You' and Kelly Clarkson's 'Santa, Can You Hear Me'.

In August, Grande also celebrated the 10th anniversary of her debut album, 'Yours Truly', with a special release.

In the second week of December 2023, the Internet was captivated as Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson teamed up with Mariah Carey for a rendition of ‘Oh Santa!’ at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

Three years after the release of her previous album, Grande posted a collection of images and a video on Instagram, showcasing her at work in a professional recording studio.

In a majority of these clips, the singer can be seen actively engaged in editing audio files on a computer.

"Oh this bout to eat," wrote SZA, while Billie Eilish pleaded, "UN MUTE PLS."

Cynthia Erivo, Grande's co-star in 'Wicked', shared a heartfelt message, expressing her pride and excitement for the upcoming project.

Despite the buzz, Grande has left her fans in suspense. Her post lacks a caption, and the videos are muted. The question on everyone's mind is - what is the pop star planning next?

Similarly, Billie Eilish recently discussed her song 'Barbie' and hinted at a new album during her appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'.

The recent news of her following a group of dancers and a music video director has further piqued the curiosity.
