Internet abuzz as 'Euphoria' star Hunter Schafer confirms past romance with Spanish singer Rosalia

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Euphoria' star Hunter Schafer revealed that she and Spanish singer Rosalia were "once romantically involved" a few years ago—but they remain very close friends.

The 25-year-old 'Euphoria' star told GQ on Tuesday, April 2, that the couple had dated for only five months before calling it quits on their relationship

Since then, Rosalia has moved on with 'The Bear' star Jeremy Allen White after the two were initially reported as romantically linked in October 2023, per Daily Mail.

Hunter Schafer was 'once romantically involved with' Rosalia

The topic surfaced in a GQ profile when Hunter Schafer revealed that she felt "exposed" after her "painful" breakup with 'Euphoria' co-star Dominic Fike, 28.

Hunter claimed that because it was the first time she had ever dated a public figure, she felt extremely vulnerable and hurt after the breakup.

"I had dated other famous people before, but people didn't know about it," she stated. "It was completely different."

Hunter told the magazine, "I have really beautiful friendships with people that I was once romantically involved with," adding that Rosalia is "family no matter what".

She further added: "It's been so much speculation for so long. Part of us just wants to get it over with, and then another part is like, 'It's none of anybody's f***ing business!"

However, the celebrity stated to GQ in a piece, "It's something I'm happy to share. And I think she feels that way too."

In January 2024, Hunter and Rosalia were spotted together going furniture shopping and getting smoothies in Los Angeles.

Rosalia has since moved on with 'The Bear' star Jeremy Allen White. Rosalia and White fuelled dating rumors in late 2023 with outings around Los Angeles, as Entertainment Tonight previously reported.

Subsequently, White seemed to teasingly confirm the rumors about his alleged relationship with the singer in January when he showed up at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards wearing a $875 Tiffany & Co. Amapola brooch.

Schafer's 'Euphoria' co-star and former lover, Dominic Fike, was another topic of conversation. The pair got together while rehearsing for the second season of the HBO show that catapulted her to fame in 2021.

In a brief admission regarding the previous partnership, Hunter stated, "I had had so many s****y experiences with men before - not from dating them, but just in life. I think I had built up a wall that was way too thick around them."

"And then I fell in love," Schafer continued, adding that Dominic had assisted her to "work through a lot of the feelings of disdain that I had towards men as a whole."

"I think it had inhibited a lot of my friendships with men, and a lot of that came down as well."

Hunter still has happy recollections of their time together, despite their breakup. "I had a really beautiful relationship with [Fike], and it really opened me up in that way."
