OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA: Devin Ratray, who gained fame for his role as Buzz McCallister in the iconic movie franchise 'Home Alone', pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic violence.

The 47-year-old managed to avoid time behind bars, thereby bringing his long-standing case in Oklahoma to a close, as per Daily Mail

'Home Alone' star Devin Ratray was accused of strangling his ex-girlfriend in an Oklahoma hotel room

As reported by TMZ, Ratray was given three years of probation and mandated to participate in a batterer intervention program as well as undergo an assessment for drug and alcohol use.

The actor is also required to pay all court costs and is prohibited from having any contact with the victim, his former girlfriend.

Ratray made his court appearance via video link, accompanied by his legal counsel. This development follows his hospitalization in January in critical condition.

The 'Blue Ruin' actor has since been discharged and is recuperating at home on doctor's orders.

He was arrested in December 2021 on charges of domestic violence following an incident in an Oklahoma hotel room where he allegedly strangled his ex-girlfriend.

The altercation reportedly began at a bar where Ratray became upset with his partner for not charging two female fans for his autograph.

Upon returning to their room at the Hyatt Place Oklahoma City, he allegedly pushed her onto the bed and choked her. In a violent altercation, Ratray's ex-girlfriend reportedly bit his hand while trying to scream for help.

She managed to escape from the room but was supposedly punched against a desk when she returned to collect her belongings.

The victim was found with multiple injuries, including bruises and marks on her face, chest, and arm.

Following the incident, the couple broke up. After Ratray turned himself in, he was processed and released after posting a $25,000 bond. The actor has denied all allegations.

Another person remarked, "He didn't he get any jail time for strangulation? Do they want to wait until he actually kills her? Sheesh. No wonder Oklahoma is Top Ten in domestic abuse."

One on X (formally Twitter) stated, "He looked violent,  and his part in the movie was a give, sad to say," and an individual opined, "I guess he leaned a little too into his character."
