The artist known for her hit 'Party in the U.S.A'. has achieved a significant milestone in her career by securing her first Grammy Award.
She won the award for the best pop solo performance for her song 'Flowers', which is the main track from her eighth album, 'Endless Summer Vacation'.
The award was presented to her by Mariah Carey at the beginning of Sunday's ceremony.
Later that night, she also received the Record of the Year award, one of the most esteemed honors at the Grammys, for the same song.
During her performance, Miley subtly alluded to her divorce when she reached the song's bridge and improvised the lyrics.
She sang, "I didn't want to leave you', adding the line 'but had to', before singing, "I didn't want to fight' and adding 'but we did'.
In a triumphant moment, she altered the lyrics to celebrate her victory, singing "Started to cry but then I remembered… I just won my first Grammy!"
