Internet backs Ana Navarro as she says Diddy should be treated like a 'social leper' over assault footage
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The View' co-host Ana Navarro didn't mince her words when addressing the disturbing 2016 surveillance footage showing Sean "Diddy" Combs violently assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, during the morning show's Monday, May 20, episode.
She urged the public to treat the music mogul like a "social leper," emphasizing that while the Los Angeles Police Department may be unable to press charges due to the statute of limitations, societal condemnation should not be spared.
Ana Navarro calls for severe repercussions against Sean 'Diddy' Combs
"Look, the LAPD may not be able to charge him, but we are able to shun him, and he should be treated like the leper, the social leper and criminal he is," asserted Navarro, calling for severe social repercussions against Diddy.
She stressed her expectation to see the rapper excluded from social spaces like restaurants and award shows and advocated for boycotting any brands associated with him.
"I think this guy should be treated and pay horrible social consequences," reiterated Navarro.
Additionally, the TV personality condemned individuals in the record producer's inner circle who may have enabled or turned a blind eye to his behavior for years.

'The View' co-hosts cast doubt on the sincerity of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' apology
'The View' co-hosts further scrutinized Diddy's recent apology video, noting his failure to address Ventura.
Sunny Hostin remarked, "I don’t think that that video that we saw will change the public’s opinion of him, because I didn’t hear him say, ‘I am sorry Cassie.’ I didn’t hear that."
Whoopi Goldberg echoed Hostin's sentiments, suggesting that the rapper's apology seemed insincere, particularly in light of his previous denials of Ventura's allegations. She remarked, "It’s easier to be sorry after people find out that you lied because you said you didn’t do it."
The disturbing footage, originally obtained by CNN and released on Friday, showed Diddy physically assaulting Ventura in the hallway of a Las Vegas hotel in 2016. Despite Diddy's subsequent apology video, Ventura has not publicly addressed the incident or her ex-boyfriend's statement.
Cassie Ventura's attorney called Sean 'Diddy' Combs' apology 'disingenuous'
Similar to 'The View' co-hosts, Ventura's attorney, Meredith Firetog, criticized Diddy's apology, calling it insincere and self-serving.
She said, "Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt. When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday," as per Deadline.
"That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words," added Firetog.
On Sunday, Diddy issued a video apology over the unearthed surveillance footage. The rapper said, "It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f—ked up. I mean, I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses."
He added, "My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry."

Diddy previously denied Ventura’s allegations of physical assault and similar claims brought forward by other women.
Ventura had filed a lawsuit against him, citing emotional and physical assault, in November 2023. The pair reached a settlement under undisclosed terms a day after the complaint was filed.
