Donald Trump and Joe Biden will share the same stage for the first time since 2020

Trump and Biden have not shared a platform or even spoken to one another since their last debate which took place a few weeks prior to the 2020 presidential election. Biden's inauguration was not even attended by Trump.

The earliest general election debate in history will take place on Thursday, June 27, on CNN. Both campaigns rejected the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates which had arranged every one since 1988. As a result, this is the first-ever televised general election presidential debate hosted by a single news outlet.

Internet sides with Donald Trump as the former president emerges as favorite in yet another poll

Netizens backed the former president as the new poll result states that Trump is leading Joe Biden by four percentage points. One X user tweeted, "With Biden as our leader, I’m seriously afraid of the United States being involved in WW3 in the near future. Very scary." Another echoed, "Trump all day way."

One user lashed at Biden, writing, "Everyone keeps saying there will be no fans allowed in the audience in tonight's debate. That's not true. Joe Biden will have two fans sitting up close: Dana Bash and Jake Tapper."

"Biden must look strong without being deranged. He has to be in command of facts without being condescending. He needs to look like a fighter but not a fascist. In other words he needs drugs," mocked another. "There’s a good chance that tonight’s debate moderators, opinion hosts - Tapper and bash- will run interference for Biden," cautioned a user.
