Internet blasts Tim Scott for praising Donald Trump and accusing Biden campaign of 'losing its mind'
WASHINGTON, DC: Senator Tim Scott, a Republican from South Carolina, claimed that the Democratic Party is "losing its mind" because it is losing voters. He also said that "we need four more years of Donald Trump."
"Their race-based coalition, race-baiting to keep the votes…it is crumbling before their very eyes," said the possible VP pick on Wednesday, June 19, Fox News reports.
Tim Scott assured law and order would be restored under Donald Trump's reign
"African-Americans, Hispanics, White folks, Asians are coming together supporting Donald Trump because a closed, secured southern border means less migrant crime in poor neighborhoods. It means more open schools across our nation," Scott continued. He emphasized that the Biden campaign's "pandering" to Black voters is ineffective and that Trump will restore law and order.
"The crime that's devastating inner cities under blue mayors goes away with Donald Trump," he said, adding "He will restore law and order."
Tim Scott reveals why Joe Biden is losing support to Donald Trump
According to Scott, one of the reasons Biden is losing ground to Trump is because "the justice system reeks under Joe Biden." "The bottom line is simply this, in order for us to clean out the Justice Department, fire Merrick Garland and restore confidence and Lady Justice and her blindfold, we've got to fire Joe Biden and elect Donald Trump," he said.
The senator added, "Independent voters want, actually, they require a fair and just America. A two-tiered justice system won't get that done. Weaponizing DOJ against your political opponents won't get that done."
Tim Scott helped organize a major fundraiser for Donald Trump earlier this year
The senator attended a lavish fundraiser for the former president in New York City last month and assisted in planning a significant event for Trump earlier this year, just before the South Carolina primary.
Moreover, earlier this month, Scott, the sole Black Republican in the Senate, launched a $14 million campaign to assist the former president in winning over Black and other non-White working class voters, whom he believes could be crucial in November's elections.
Scott emerged as a top Donald Trump surrogate over the past few months
With just a handful of candidates on the short list to be Trump's running mate on the Republican ticket in 2024, the conservative senator from South Carolina has emerged as one of the most prominent Trump surrogates in the last five months.
Political analysts say that Scott, as a Black evangelical, could help the former president make a sizable dent in President Biden's lead with minority voters.
Internet berates Scott, says 'We Dems are doing just fine'
Netizens slammed the senator after claiming the Biden administration is losing their cool. One user mocked by tweeting, "You guys always thing Dems are "losing their mind" about this or that. You're just making it up to make yourselves feel better. We Dems are doing just fine, thanks."
Another said, "If Trump picks this backstabbing RINO, I'll stay home on election day." "Tim Scott sold out People of color to Donald Trump for 7 pcs. of silver. He is a man who has no pride. Crawl under a rock and hide Tim," opined one. "Lmfao. Yes. Believe the people that’s lied to you everyday. They should be believed," said another user. "HE IS A SELLOUT, FTS," echoed one.
