KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: The Kansas City Chiefs kept their dreams of an unprecedented three-peat intact as they edged the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, January 26.

However, many fans on the internet called the NFL "rigged" and believed the Chiefs got a little extra help from the referees, or it seemed like Kansas City benefitted from some crucial calls, according to Whiskey Riff.

After winning the AFC Championship, the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on February 9 in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII two years ago, which the Chiefs won 38-35.

Moreover, this will be the Chiefs' fifth appearance in the Super Bowl in the space of six seasons, making it an incredible run of success, per the New York Times.

However, it was another heartbreaking playoff loss for the Bills, who haven't appeared in the Super Bowl since 1994 and have never won it.

Furthermore, Josh Allen is now 0-4 against Patrick Mahomes in the postseason, per the outlet.

Interestingly, Mahomes has a chance to be the first quarterback to win a Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history, and with a win in two weeks, he would also have four career Super Bowl titles.

Super Bowl LIX will mark the 12th all-time meeting between the Chiefs and Eagles, where Kansas City holds a 6-5 series lead, including a 38-35 victory in Super Bowl LVII, according to the New York Times.

However, the Eagles won the most recent head-to-head matchup 21-17 in Week 11 of the 2023 NFL season. That win for the Eagles ended a four-game losing streak to the Chiefs overall.

Travis Kelce celebrates Kansas City Chiefs' win with GF Taylor Swift

Pop icon Taylor Swift celebrated the Kansas City Chiefs AFC win with her boyfriend and Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce. During the celebration, she took Kelce's face in her hands and pulled him close for multiple kisses while confetti flew around them.

She also brushed back Kelce's hair as they chatted and embraced on the field, according to People.

Notably, Swift began attending Kelce's Chiefs games early in their relationship, and in many of the games she has attended, the Chiefs have won, including the 2024 AFC Championship and the Super Bowl.

After last year's AFC Championship game where the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10, the pop icon joined Kelce on the field to celebrate, along with his parents Donna and Ed Kelce, and brother Jason.
