Internet congratulates Donald Trump's 'wonderful boy' Barron on his graduation day
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Donald Trump made a notable appearance at Oxbridge Academy in Florida where he cheered his son Barron Trump who received his high school diploma.
On Friday, May 17, the former president's attendance at the ceremony was made possible by a temporary suspension of his hush money trial proceedings, a move ordered by presiding Judge Juan Merchan, according to USA Today.
"Going to Barron's High School Graduation. Great student, wonderful boy! Very exciting!!! DJT," read Trump's Truth Social post on Friday, May 17.

Donald Trump accused Judge Juan Merchan of not allowing a court break on Barron's graduation day
Trump's petition to Merchan for an adjournment of court during Barron's graduation on May 17 was initially denied as the judge cited the trial's time constraints and refrained from deciding on the court break at the time.
Furious at Merchan's response, Trump wrote on Truth Social, "Who will explain for me, to my wonderful son, Barron, who is a GREAT Student at a fantastic School, that his Dad will likely not be allowed to attend his Graduation Ceremony."
"Something that we have been talking about for years, because a seriously Conflicted and Corrupt New York State Judge wants me in Criminal Court on a bogus 'Biden Case' which, according to virtually all Legal Scholars and Pundits, has no merit, and should NEVER have been brought," he added.
However, Merchan later granted him permission to step away from the court proceedings on his youngest son's graduation day.
On April 30, Merchan said, “I don’t think the May 17 date is a problem."
Donald Trump adds campaign stop in Minnesota on Barron's graduation day
As MEAWW previously reported, Trump was slammed for his decision to schedule a campaign stop in Minnesota for a GOP dinner on May 17 which would conflict with Barron's high school graduation in Palm Beach.
However, the former president will be traveling to Minnesota for the event in the evening after his son's graduation ceremony.
Trump's attendance at the events made headlines as it comes amid his hush money trial in which he is accused of falsifying business records to conceal payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to not disclose their alleged affair before the 2016 presidential elections.
Adding to the recent spotlight on Barron was the decision to choose him as a delegate for Florida at the Republican National Convention in July.
However, his mother Melania announced on May 10 that their 18-year-old son had declined the offer due to prior commitments.
