Internet convinced Taylor Swift is shading Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in 'TTPD' track 'Cassandra'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift has used quite a few names for her double albums ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ and ‘Anthology’ which dropped on Friday, April 19.
As the internet is trying to ascertain the identities of the people named in the ‘Lover’ singer’s latest album, Swifties are claiming to have found the identity of at least one person named in her tunes.
While the fans initially declared the 34-year-old pop sensation’s ‘ThanK you, aIMee’ to be a direct hit at Kim Kardashian, the Swifties are now also propounding another track, titled ‘Cassandra’ is also aimed at the mother-of-four and her ex-husband Kanye West.
Taylor Swift seemingly refers to her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
The infamous feud between the billionaire songstress and the Yeezy founder started when he dissed Swift and interrupted her VMA acceptance speech in 2009.
On careful pondering on the lyrics, the fans are now of the opinion that ‘Cassandra’ is replete with allusions related to the drama, per OK! Magazine.
In the song, the 14-times Grammy-winning singer sings, "I was in my new house placing daydreams / Patching up the crack along the wallI / Pass it and lose track of what I'm saying / 'Cause that's where I was when I got the call," which, the Swifties think, may refer to the call she received from West for his tune ‘Famous’.
As Swift sings later in the song, "They knew, they knew, they knew the whole time / That I was onto something / The family, the pure greed, the Christian chorus line," her fans deduced she might be throwing shades at the Kardashian-Jenner family and West’s Christian services.
She continues to sing, "They all said nothing / Blood’s thick but nothing like a payroll / Bet they never spared a prayer for my soul/ You can mark my words that I said it first / In a morning warning, no one heard," seemingly alluding no one listened to her.
Calling Swift, West allegedly wanted Swift to approve the controversial lyrics for his song. He crooned in the tune, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have s** / Why? I made that bi*** famous.”
However, as the song was released, Swift voiced her discomfort at the line and denied approving it.

Meanwhile, Kardashian leaked their recorded phone call, which seemed as if Swift was giving the controversial lyric a green signal.
Later, Swift shared that while she was initially fine with the verses, she never approved of him calling her “that bi***,” which subsequently led to the year-old feud.
Swift's 'Cassandra' also refers to the Greek mythological character of Cassandra - daughter of Priam and Hecuba. She was given the power of prophecy by Apollo, but when she rejected his proposal, Apollo changed it saying no one would believe her.
Swifties convinced 'Cassandra' is about Kim Kardashian
The internet abounded in theories regarding Swift's song 'Cassandra' is actually aimed at Kim Kardashian. While most of the fans suggested 'ThanK you, AIMee' is about Kardashian, they also propounded 'Cassandra' is also a diss track about the SKIMS founder.
One of the fans opined, "Cassandra sounds like a reflection on the kim/kanye reputation attack (and calling out the rest of the kardashian clan for staying quiet!)."

Someone else explained, "Cassandra is so sad because when kanye and kim were spreading lies about her everybody was ready to burn her alive and when real clip came out confirming she was telling the truth everybody pretended nothing happened and no one apologized."

Someone else said with conviction, "Cassandra is definitely about Kanye and Kim…"
A social media user theorized, "ThanK you, aIMee may be about Kim, but Dear Reader, please don’t overlook the fact that Cassandra is a brilliant retelling of how Kanye, Kim, and the extended Kardashian family knew the truth and tried to ruin Taylor’s career anyway. Stay for the jabs at Yeezus/Sunday Sessions."

Another fan explained the Greek mythological background surrounding Cassandra, writing, "It’s all about Kanye/the kardashians/the phone call. Cassandra was the princess of Troy in Greek mythology and she was also a prophetess. Taylor=Cassandra, she tried to tell the world that Kanye and Kim put out a fake video but the world decided not to believe her (comments)."
