LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans of Cher, 77, expressed their discontent with actress and singer Jennifer Hudson and accused her of trying to steal the limelight from Cher during a duet they performed together at the iHeart Radio Awards.

Hudson, who's 42, took the stage at the iHeart Radio Awards in Los Angeles, delivering a rendition of Cher's classic 'Believe' alongside the legendary singer. She infused her own style into the song's finale, captivating the audience.

In a touching moment, Cher clasped Hudson's hand warmly as they reached the climax of the performance, clearly enjoying the collaboration. However, not all of Cher's fans were thrilled with Hudson's powerful performance. Some felt it overshadowed Cher, stealing the spotlight from the icon.

The tribute began with Hudson soloing Cher's song 'If I Could Turn Back Time' before the singer joined her for 'Believe'. Cher received the prestigious Icon Award at the ceremony. In her acceptance speech, she made sure to thank her fans for standing by her side throughout her incredible career.

Cher recently stirred up social media chatter when rumors circulated that she's considering adopting a baby with her 37-year-old beau, Alexander Edwards. Rumors have it that Cher's fondness for Edwards' 4-year-old son, Slash, from a previous relationship, is motivating her to be in the relationship.

On the other hand, Cher's relationship with her son, Elijah Allman, is going through a rocky road. Allman has reportedly sought legal intervention to halt his mother's attempts to access his medical records from various healthcare facilities.

Internet users say Cher's fans are 'dumb' for calling out Jennifer Hudson

Many social media users defended Hudson against Cher's fans who were calling out her performance.

A user on Facebook wrote, "This is so dumb. That is just how she sings. lol. No one can upstage Cher anyway… she is Cher. SMH"

Another user wrote, "Stop trying to pin women against women! Both are superstars and both sing in their way! Holding hands and embracing their womenhood!"

A user commented, "I didn't find anything disrespectful. If anything she honored her by singing a duet with Cher. You could see Cher was honored. Remember Cher is at least 70 years old. Looks like she was thrilled. They embraced at the end"

Another user commented, "Ppl need to get a life. There wasn’t any diss nor disrespect. We all know JHud isn’t about being disrespectful, she’s the opposite. Maybe those people aren’t aware of how JHud sings, she has some amazing vocal skills and she will make any song spectacular with her singing."

A user stated, "The hug and the I love you should have showed people it wasn’t a 'diss'. Cher is a musical influencer, Jennifer is a master student. Not everything is disrespect."

Another user stated, "Cher is SEVENTY-SEVEN!!! her voice has possibly changed a little, her range isn’t going to be as it was when she was in her 30s. You can tell there is mutual respect and love between them, people need to chill"
