Internet diagrees as former royal press secretary says 'media darling' Prince Harry changed after marriage

LONDON, ENGLAND: Prince Harry was a “media darling” who could never “put a foot wrong” before he “changed” into the man he is now, according to a former royal press secretary.

Ailsa Anderson recently shared that she was “surprised and saddened” by the recent development in the Duke of Sussex’s personality, per OK! Magazine.

Prince Harry was once a ‘media darling’

The former press secretary to late Queen Elizabeth II recently shared her opinion of Harry, who along with his wife Meghan Markle stepped down from his royal duties in January 2020 and went to America. 

Anderson shared during an interview with Times Radio that before his marriage to Meghan Markle, Harry was a “media darling.”

She reminisced, "The Harry that I knew and I left and obviously that was before he got married so 2013, but he was the media's darling.”

“I remember at the start he could not put a foot wrong, he was just this war hero, he'd served, he was committed, he had the Invictus Games,” shared Anderson before adding, "He really couldn't put a step wrong."

In her lengthy interview, Anderson reminisced about her time working with the ‘Spare’ author, per The Mirror.

She praised the prince and said, "In private I just found him charming, funny and interesting, so yeah I am surprised and saddened actually.”

She also praised Harry’s camaraderie with Prince William and Kate, saying, “You will remember all three of them together doing stuff like Heads Together for Mental Health and it just felt like a really amazing team. They were very joined up and offering support to each other.”

Sharing about the time when the royal feud took place, Anderson added, “So when that doesn't happen suddenly, it's what happens in any family not just the royal family, it's a loss isn't it? It's a bereavement."

Harry, after getting married to Meghan in 2018, stepped down from his royal duties in January 2020. 

Fans divided in their opinion after Harry revelations

Fans were left divided after Anderson's revelation about Prince Harry's changed personality.

One fan commented, "Harry has always been down to earth, very much like his mom. He still is. But the media would have us believe otherwise now. I love what Ms. Anderson said about him. His wife was different, and he tried to protect her when others wanted to show are up in the royal court. That's when his being down to earth showed up again. And of course, the British media got the chance to destroy him for standing up for his wife."

Someone else added, "He left because of the way they treated his wife . Or should he have just stayed and left the love of his life . The royals attitude to ward her was totally and utterly wrong ."

"Harry should write another book, "media darling to exiled outcast in 4 years," quipped another social media user.

The fourth user added, "The real Harry was hidden from plain view. A leopard cannot change his spots."

"The royals have never denied anything they've said," said another fan.

A social media user added, "How can the RF ever trust him again when he’s blabbed to the media. What’s to say he won’t do it again. The trust has gone."
