Royal Palace snubbed Harry and Meghan’s attempt to extend olive branch after King's health issues
LONDON, UK: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly wanted to make amends with their estranged family members in the UK but they have been ignored by the royals, tipsters claimed.
RadarOnline.com citing sources reported that the pair were concerned and wanted to extend an olive branch to their relatives across the ocean after King Charles and Kate Middleton underwent their respective surgeries.
Royals do not want to meet Harry and Meghan
However, Harry and Meghan did not get the response they expected.
“It seems clear the Sussexes were hoping this could be the olive branch that reunites them face-to-face,” a mole disclosed.
They further shared, “But as far as most of the royal family is concerned, that's just not in the cards — at least for now.”
The insider also mentioned the royal family members did not give a “rude or ungrateful” response to the Sussexes’ well wishers but “they're also not ready to welcome them back for any peace talks”.
‘Meghan and Harry don't intend to give up’
The cold behavior has reportedly left the former actress 'appalled', as 'she's really into health and wellness and alternative forms of medicine that might help Kate immensely during her recovery — like acupuncture and cupping and Chinese herbs. But William has given her the brush-off'.
Harry also reportedly felt bad when he got to know about his family members’ health issues via the news.
The insider said, “The palace sent word to Harry, but he didn't receive it until after the public announcements.”
But despite all these, “Meghan and Harry don't intend to give up.”
The source added, “No one has ever accused them of abandoning a worthy cause — and getting back inside the royal fold is priority number one!”
King Charles battles cancer
This came as news of King Charles being diagnosed with cancer was shared with the public. The test result came out after his enlarged prostate surgery.
Buckingham Palace in a February 5 statement shared, “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.”
“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” it explained.
The statement also added that the 75-year-old monarch “has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”
