MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM: Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher doesn't seem content with his fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees as he branded them as "clowns" during an interview with The Sunday Times on February 24.

This comes after he recently opened up about his thoughts on the heartbreaking split of the band, which originally included Liam, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. Liam's elder brother, Noel Gallagher, also joined the rock group a few months after its creation in 1991.

In 2009, Oasis broke up, supposedly due to a problem between the Gallagher brothers. However, in a recent interview, Liam was certain that the group might reunite if his brother Noel took the initiative.

Liam Gallagher believes he has done more for rock and roll than fellow nominees

According to USA Today, Liam expressed disappointment with other artists nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

He apparently aimed at 'All I Want For Christmas is You' singer Mariah Carey and conveyed, "As much as I love Mariah Carey and all that, I want to say: do me a favor and f**k off."

Liam's band Oasis has been nominated to the 20214 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside artists like Mary J Blige, Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane's Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, the late Sinead O'Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest.

The frustrated singer asserted, "It’s like putting me in the rap hall of fame, and I don’t want to be part of anything that mentally disturbed. Besides, I’ve done more for rock 'n' roll than half of them clowns on that board, so it’s all a load of bollocks."

He previously used expletives to denounce Oasis' nomination in an X (formerly Twitter) post, writing, "F**k the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS."

Liam even said he would ditch the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony if Oasis was inducted but was sure his brother Noel might attend, as per Variety. He apparently remarked, "The little fella loves hanging out with celebrities so he’d prob go; as for me I’m washing my hair and having a pedicure and a manicure."

Internet users react to Liam Gallagher's thoughts about fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees

Soon after Liam's comments about the other Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees came to light, netizens wasted no time in weighing in with their thoughts.

A Facebook user wrote, "Liam Gallagher was born to be the grumpy old man of rock-n-roll," while another noted, "This is the only time I’ve agreed with him"

A person asked, "Jealous much Liam?" and someone else commented, "He would be correct. It's the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME. It's not the rap, country, R&B, etc Hall of Fame."

An individual joked, "I'm just surprised that people outside of the UK have heard of Liam or Oasis."

"When are you people going to realize that the rock and roll Hall of Fame is totally irrelevant now a days. But yes he's completely right about that," expressed one more.
