NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Media personality Megyn Kelly, in the latest episode of 'The Megyn Kelly Show', claimed that "nobody would stab" Donald Trump if he were to go to jail.

Kelly was joined by attorneys Arthur Aidala and Mark Eiglarsh to discuss the latest developments in the former President's legal battle.

While discussing the possibility of Trump getting imprisoned if he is found guilty of the charges against him, Kelly pointed out what his life could be like in jail. With forethought that she might be "crazy," Kelly said, "I feel like he would be like a folk hero in there. Nobody would try to stab him. They'd be celebrating him."

Kelly shared the clip of the trio discussing Trump's trials on her Instagram account.

Trump's New York civil fraud trial's testimony concluded on December 13. According to Reuters, the verdict by Justice Arthur Engoron is expected after the closing arguments on January 11, 2024.

Recently, Robert Rogers, an associate professor of criminal justice at Middle Tennessee State University, claimed that Trump might be sent to a maximum-security prison to prevent his followers from breaking him out.

Megyn Kelly says Donald Trump's election victory is the only potential escape from jury verdict

The host said the only way for the former President, who is vying for a second term, is to win the election to escape a verdict against him. "Donald Trump in order to avoid jail, unless he gets favorable ruling on the law from an appellate court that could be a way out of bad jury verdicts, he's got to win," Kelly said.

"He must become the president next time around," she said, adding as an afterthought, "Or a Republican who will pardon him, on the federal charges at least, must win."

Responding to Kelly's views, Eiglarsh wondered how Trump would be protected in jail. "If he is sitting in jail, he's got to be protected. So what his Secret Service guys are sitting there with them in the pokey?" asked the attorney.

Aidala backed Eiglarsh, saying that Secret Service people would probably be right outside the jail cell protecting Trump. He stated that they will "sit right outside the jail cell and make sure nobody stabs him, no one attacks him, no one chokes him."

Eiglarsh added that the former President could not be in the "general population" and would be "completely isolated."
