Taking to the social media platform on Sunday, April 14, Biden wrote, "I spoke with members of the 494th and 335th Fighter Squadrons today to commend them for their exceptional airmanship and skill in defending Israel from an unprecedented aerial attack by Iran. These brave servicemembers make us all proud."

He shared a clip in the post where he is seen engaged in a telephonic conversation with the troops.

"That's not hyperbole, man. Both these squadrons, you're incredible. Absolutely incredible. You made an enormous difference, potentially saving a lot of lives. Thanks to (your) extraordinary skill the United States helped Israel take down nearly all those incoming missiles. You're remarkable," he added.

A person responded from the other end of the line, introducing himself as Lieutenant Colonel Curtis Culver, 494th Fighter Squadron Commander.

"Mr President, we thank you for your words... And we're mighty proud to have our part in that contribution, sir," he said.

"Let me tell you, you make me proud. And I'm not just saying it. I swear to God. You're incredible ... Keep it going. Stay safe, man," he concluded.
