Internet rallies behind Jacob Elordi after his alleged altercation with KIIS FM staffer in Australia

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Jacob Elordi, 26, was involved in an altercation with a TikToker and KIIS FM employee Joshua Fox, 32, outside a popular pub in Sydney's eastern suburbs on Saturday, February 3.

Per Daily Mail, the ‘The Kissing Booth’ star was socializing for hours in the Clovelly Hotel before the altercation took place.

What happened between Jacob Elordi and Joshua Fox?

At around 3.30 pm on Saturday, the KIIS FM radio employee Joshua Fox allegedly approached the ‘Euphoria’ star and asked for his comments. Soon, a heated argument purportedly broke out between the duo.

An investigation was later launched by the NSW Police after it was reported that a 32-year-old was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old. The police also collected CCTV footage of the incident.

However, the police revealed that the TikToker was left unhurt. A NSW Police spokesperson said, “The man did not sustain any injuries,” before adding, “Inquiries into the incident is continuing.”

Jacob Elordi disses ‘The Kissing Booth’ franchise

In November 2023, Elordi was named the GQ Man of the Year and was featured in the cover story.

However, he trod the controversial waters as he made denigrating comments about the Netflix franchise ‘The Kissing Booth’ in which he starred from 2018 to 2021.

Panning the Netflix franchise, co-starred by Joey King, Elordi said, “I didn't want to make those movies before I made those movies,” adding, “Those movies are ridiculous. They're not universal. They're an escape.”

As the interviewer pegged that he accepted ‘The Kissing Booth’ to fulfill his requirement for a job, saying it fits Hollywood’s long-standing notion of “one for them, one for me” ethos in choosing projects.

Elordi added, “That one’s a trap as well. Because it can become 15 for them, none for you. You have no original ideas and you’re dead inside. So it’s a fine dance,” and noted, “My ‘one for them,’ I’ve done it.”

The film, nevertheless, brought in a massive fan following for Elordi.

After his successful stint in the blockbuster ‘Saltburn’, the Australian actor is currently filming for Amazon Prime Video's five-part adaptation of Richard Flanagan's 2013 novel ‘The Narrow Road to the Deep North’ where he is playing Australian Imperial Force soldier Dorrigo Evans.

He is also reprising his role as Nate Jacobs for the third season of ‘Euphoria’.
