WALLINGFORD, PENNSYLVANIA: President Joe Biden launched a scathing attack at former President Donald Trump for meeting with Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, highlighting his primary campaign promise that he is running to preserve the American democracy, according to The Hill.

Biden asked supporters at his campaign event in suburban Philadelphia, “You know who he’s meeting with today down at Mar-a-Lago?”

“Orban of Hungary,” the 81-year-old incumbent president remarked. “Who stated flatly he doesn’t think democracy works, he’s looking for dictatorship.”

What did Joe Biden say about Viktor Orban meeting Donald Trump?

Arriving at former President Donald Trump's Florida residence, Hungarian premier Viktor Orban shared a photograph of the two of them on Facebook with the caption, "Meeting with President Donald Trump. Make America great again, Mr. President!”

In a Truth Social post, the 77-year-old MAGA strongman described hosting the Hungarian prime minister and his daughter Flóra at his resort as an honor.

“It was an honor having Viktor Orbán and his lovely daughter, Flóra, as my guests last night at Mar-a-Lago. Viktor is a Great Leader, respected all over the World. Hungary is a Safe Country because of his Strong Immigration Policies, and as long as he is in charge, it always will be!” Trump wrote.

President Biden was asked by reporters as he was leaving the White House for his campaign event in Philadelphia if he was concerned that Trump was meeting with Orban.

“If I’m not, you should be,” the Commander-in-Chief replied.

At his rally on Friday, the president said that world leaders had told him that Trump "can't win again, because my democracy is at stake."

President Biden asserted last month that nine heads of state had warned him that he must prevail in the Oval Office come November 2024.

Biden has emphasized the importance of safeguarding democracy as a crucial issue in this election.

In his campaign speeches, he frequently highlights the potential consequences for democracy if Donald Trump were to remain in office for another four years.

Both presidential candidates will be visiting Georgia on Saturday for their respective campaign events, signaling the start of the general election campaign after Super Tuesday and the president's State of the Union address.

Internet reacts as Joe Biden lambasted Donald Trump

People on X expressed their reaction to the meeting between Trump and Orban and posited what the two right-wing populist leaders could be sharing with each another.

One X user remarked, "Oh Biden is not gonna forget this! Orban better hope he doesn’t need anything from POTUS in the future."

"It would be a real kick in the groin to learn that Orbán put up the money for Trump's EJC appeal. That could be an illegal campaign contribution because of the campaign," another user claimed.

Another user said, "I'm guessing that Trump has scans of more than one federal document to share with Orban. I cannot prove that, so I won't accuse because I am not a Republican. But I cannot help wondering."

One user asked, "Do Trump supporters want us to become a dictatorship? Everyone should take note of Trump's leaning towards Xi, Kim, Putin, Erdogan, and now Orban!"

Another X user wrote, "Hungary's membership in NATO should be revoked. It has become an enemy of democracy, freedom, and @USNATO"

One user tweeted: "Orban has taken positions with NATO unfavorable to Ukraine and in favor of Putin Orban now has strong ties to Putin and is schooling tRump on ways to destroy American Democracy "It can’t happen here? Viktor Orban’s Hungary shows how democracy dies""
