NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden took to X (formerly Twitter) on, Saturday, March 9, 2024, to share the first advertisement for his spring media reelection campaign.

The ad addresses the issue of the President's advancing age head-on and showcases his administration's achievements while attacking former president and his current political rival, Donald Trump.

The tweet has won the internet's approval as President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris seek a second term in office by the end of this year.

Joe Biden's campaign ad

Biden shared a minute-long video message on his personal X account, which showed him addressing fellow Americans and working hard as the incumbent.

The clip begins with Biden saying, "Look, I'm not a young guy. That's no secret. But here is the deal. I understand how to get things done for the American people."

He then shared the highlights of his work and stated, "I led the country through the COVID crisis. Today, we have the strongest economy in the world. I passed a law that lowers prescription drug prices, (and) caps insulin at $35 a month for seniors."

He then spoke about current GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, drawing a sharp contrast between himself and the former president.

"For four years, Donald Trump tried to pass an infrastructure law, and he failed. I got it done. Now we are rebuilding America. I passed the biggest law in history to combat climate change because our future depends on it," President Biden said.

"Donald Trump took away the freedom of women to choose. I'm determined to make Roe v Wade the law of the land again. Donald Trump believes the job of the president is to take care of Donald Trump. I believe the job of the president is to fight for you, the American people. And that's what I'm doing," he added before approving the message.

Internet supports Joe Biden's message in his first spring reelection campaign ad

The internet agreed with Biden's message in the ad and supported him.

"Aging is not lost youth but a new stage of opportunity and strength. Youth is the gift of nature, but age is a work of art. Old age, believe me, is a good and pleasant thing. You're like a fine wine," one social media user wrote.

"I don't care how old Biden is. He can run the country sitting in a rocking chair on the Whitehouse porch and do a better job than many who came before him and certainly surely and without a doubt better than that criminal rapist conman running against him," said another.

"The difference between you and Trump is stark. You want solutions, Trump wants chaos. You get things done, Trump breaks things," stated a third.

"Leaning into what others perceive as your weakness and showing everyone that it is not weakness, it is strength," appreciated a fourth.

"Grown old means grown rich in wisdom," noted a fifth.
