WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden and Donald Trump have officially launched bids for the White House in what appears to be the most extended general election in recent history.

On Wednesday, March 6, the President warned his supporters that the GOP race is now a showdown between himself and the former President, stressing the need for "a big team" to win the upcoming election in November.

Joe Biden warns his supporters 'It's us vs the entire MAGA'

In a fundraising email his supporters received late Wednesday morning, March 6, Biden's campaign wrote, "Last night, Trump racked up Republican Super Tuesday primary wins across the country."

“It’s going to be us vs. the entire MAGA right in this election, and it’s going to take a big team to finish the job. I need your help,” the campaign added.

While Biden sought grassroots support, he urged supporters to donate to his reelection campaign, according to MassLive.

"Please donate to our reelection campaign today. Especially today," read the mail which included a fundraising page link for the recipients to contribute as little as $10 or as much as $3,000.

The email landed in supporters' inboxes just hours after Nikki Haley announced the suspension of her campaign for the presidential race, paving the way for a rematch between Biden and Trump.

Donald Trump's campaign launches 'Trump Alert' fundraiser

On Wednesday, March 6, Trump's campaign also mobilized its base as supporters received text messages that included a link that brought them to a 'Trump Alert' webpage.

The 77-year-old businessman urged his supporters "to unite as a party and defeat Joe Biden."

“If we’re going to win back the White House, it will be because of what you do right here, right now,” read the email.

“The Washington establishment and Biden’s corrupt deep state will make it impossible for us to win. So today, I’m asking you to deliver them the biggest response in history,” it added.

Emphasizing the urgency of the moment, the campaign called for "one million pro-Trump patriots to chip in."

Appealing for financial support, recipients were offered contribution options as little as $20.24 or as much as $3,300 and were given the option to make a recurring donation.

Netizens brace for Donald Trump-Joe Biden rematch

Following Haley's decision to drop out of the 2024 GOP race, making way for the Trump-Biden rematch, netizens rallied to weigh in on the battle.

"The Trump Vs Biden debate that we should get will be one of the funniest things of the year," a user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), and another user wrote, "It's Trump vs Biden Part II. The country is screwed for the next four years regardless of what Haley does."

"There has never been a better time for a 3rd party in America. Once again we get a choice of Trump vs Biden, which the vast majority of Americans do not want. The current two party systems is completely broken if these two are what is delivered. #ThirdPartyNow we deserve better," a user opined.

"340 million Americans and we end up with Trump vs Biden again," a user tweeted.
