LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A month after receiving a surprising shout-out from Taylor Swift in her latest album 'The Tortured Poets Department', Charlie Puth is ready to make headlines again.

On Friday, May 3, the singer took to Instagram to announce that he is set to release his new single 'Hero' on May 24.

Taylor Swift's shout-out to Charlie Puth

In the title track of 'The Tortured Poets Department' album released on April 19, Swift sings about a series of detailed exchanges with a lover, which is thought to be her ex-boyfriend Matty Healy.

While Puth's most recent album 'Charlie' was dropped in 2022 and has kept his fans engaged with two singles 'That's Not How This Works' and 'Lipstick', it was the 'Karma' singer's mention of him in the title track of 'TTPD' that truly turned his fans thrilled.

Posting a series of pictures of herself in the studio recording her latest album, Swift wrote, "My mind is blown. I'm completely floored by the love you've shown this album."

"2.6 million. Are you actually serious? Thank you for listening, streaming, and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life," she continued.

'The Tortured Poets Department' has now marked a significant milestone in Swift's music career as she has been breaking records across multiple music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Billboard, and Amazon Music, according to ET.

Internet excited for Charlie Puth's new single 'Hero'
